[The communication device appeared simple enough for his purposes. It took him a moment or two to determine how it functioned. It was rather primitive, really.

His appearance was composed, his expression almost completely neutral when he switched on the transmission. He would present the appearance of strength despite the situation he found himself in.]

This is General Hux. Members of the First Order identify yourselves to me immediately.

[Straight to business. There was going to be no small talk.]

I seek answers as to where I am and why I was brought here. I assume there is some purpose to this.

[And with that the feed is cut. He is going to be exploring around Marsiva to find out where exactly he is.]

Those names are not familiar to me.

[He had access to the Imperial resources growing up so he knew many planets, systems and moons but these names were so foreign.]

We hail from different worlds. (Different universes!) That does not surprise me.

So it seems. In your world you worship stars, in my world we are able to harness their energy.

[And destroy them.]

Yet you are no Valar. You are not even a Maiar. (His lips twitch.) Do you fully accept the burden of your actions?

I don't need to be a god to command the power of the stars.

[Hux didn't really understand that question. He knew what he did in using up the energy from two stars and he didn't regret it.

Also Star Destroyers are pretty awesome.]

And what burden would that be?

Every action has a consequence. Have you considered the consequences you have amassed?

(This might be the pot calling the kettle black, but Maedhros knows of irreparable burdens.)

Doing what is necessary is worth the consequences then.

[Come on, Maedhros, really?]

Why is it necessary?

To restore law and stability to the galaxy once more, to prevent star systems from falling into chaos.

[Sounds so simple right?]

And you can accomplish that all on your own? (Mighty ambitions for such a short lifespan!) Why would they fall into chaos?

[He dreams big. Not many can boast of destroying multiple planets at the age of 34.]

With the forces I command, yes.

[Oh...Maedhros....why did you have to ask.]

The current government was weak and corrupt, unable to govern over much of the galaxy efficiently. As a result many star systems where neglected and left to fall into ruin.

Much of the galaxy is now chaotic, plagued by terrorists who were allowed to go unpunished.

That will no longer be tolerated.

(He gives his head a shake. Alright, he needs to think of this in...smaller terms.)

The galaxy is...akin to a kingdom? (A kingdom that needs protection and governance.) And you are a General - leading knights into battle?

Who is your King?

The galaxy is made of various star systems with several planets in each one and each system and planet will have their own local leaders. Once each planet would send a representative to the Senate before it was disbanded once and for all.

The galaxy is an Empire now [None of this Republic nonsense. That's gone and done with.] with a supreme leader over the systems.

I command the army, yes though my troops are referred to as stormtroopers.

[He doesn't like the term knight.]

I...see. (Numerous kingdoms trying to operate as one.) The individual planets do not have a voice? How do you expect to keep the peace if you do not know their concerns and needs?

(There is a sour taste in his mouth.)

You mean a dictator.

There are methods of keeping the peace when necessary.

[Star Destroyers and superweapons are pretty efficient.

He looks slightly offended by that word- it just has such negative connotations.]

I see no reason to share such information to someone outside of the First Order.

[Nice try, Maedhros. Hux is not going to reveal the other weapons the First Order had in store. There would a time when he would be proud to show it off though.]

I understand well. (But he has no reason to press the point.) You are one who lusts for power and control. In time, you will understand that others cannot and will not be controlled indefinitely.

[Maedhros isn't wrong and he's not going to protest the fact that he's out for power and control.]

Perhaps that was once the case but no longer.

The end of one resistance. As long as there are people, there will be those who oppose you.

You do not know the strength of the First Order.

I do not need to. They will rebel in their hearts and minds if nowhere else.

As long as order and law is brought to the galaxy then it doesn't matter if that is the only place where rebellion festers.
