Who: Korra and YOU
Broadcast: Yes!
Action: Aboard the Marsiva
When: NOW
Action
[Korra is still rather disoriented, waking up aboard the Marsiva. She had tried to dig the thing in her neck out, only to feel ill every time she tried to bend it out of her skin. That only served to make her feel more panicked. She had no idea where she was or how she'd gotten there. It reminded her so much of Tarlock or the Red Lotus and already she was panicking so that was far from helpful. Moreover, her injuries from fighting Kuvira seemed to have been treated. While that was nice it didn't instill any good feelings in her.
Moving from the bed, Korra looked around, feeling a great swell of anger. She was tired of being dragged around by crazy people! With a frustrated cry, she kicks at an end table, air pushing it clean off the ground and into the ceiling. Kicking it again, it flies into the door, slamming into it hard enough to bend it from the wall.]
Who's out there?! Show yourself!
[Yeah, she's mad.]
Broadcast - video;
[After calming down a bit, Korra somehow manages to get a broadcast working. She looked a bit apologetic and equal parts tired. She sat cross-legged in the cafeteria, looking thoughtful.]
Anyone out there? I mean - probably. They show stuff on the television here, right? Can anyone fill me in on what's going on?
[Wait - stop jumping ahead of yourself, Korra.]
Oh- uh... I'm Korra. I'm the Avatar, so if there's anything I can do to help everyone, I'll do my best!
[Yup. She totally has formal introductions down. She wished Asami was here. Thanks for ruining her date, Atroma.]

Hey, there! I'm Pinkie Pie! Basically these Atroma guys have been taking people from different worlds so they can run a TV show. It'd be nice if they ASKED first, but they treat us okay so it's not ALL bad. Oh, and don't worry, they stop time back home so everything'll be right when you left it when you get back!
no subject
Oh. Okay. I guess that makes sense.
[Give her a minute it's still sinking in.]
I kind of... broke a door. Do you think they'll get mad?

[Clearing her throat.]
I mean- yes. It's nice to meet you.
[She gives a bow of her head a bit. God this communication thing is so awkward.]
I'm Avatar Korra.
Video;
[This is weird. Just wait till the others see this ohhh boy]
[But!! He smiles politely and tries to recover from the surprise]
Nice to meet you too, Korra! I'm Allen Walker, um-
Sorry, I suppose I'm used to the Avatar being Aang.

She knows this isn't a Korra that would recognise her, knows it from how she speaks and how she handles herself, and all she can do is force herself to calm down, to bring her broken pieces back together and breathe.
Even if Korra doesn't remember her, this is her sister - by heart if not by word or blood, and that means she is going to take care of her no matter what. ]
Hi, Korra. I'm Hermione - did you have any specific questions I could help with?
video.
Yeah! I mean... I had the big one answered - "why are we here?". I guess my next question is what are we supposed to be doing?
[Korra rests her chin on the palm of her hand, pouting a bit. She really wanted to get back home but she doubted very much that it would be that easy.]
video.
Honestly? We don't seem to have anything we're supposed to do. Sometimes we stop off at planets or stations and we have little jobs to do or deliveries to make, or we learn something, but otherwise we're just supposed to live here. The more exciting our lives are, though, the more money we seem to make - which is irritating.
[ Because Hermione was a little bit rich and that just meant her life was a mess. ]

Sure, you're the Avatar. And I'm the King of the Earth Kingdom. My name's Rocky. Nice to meetcha.

But... I am the Avatar. We just haven't met yet. I think.
[Frowning and pouting. 8|||]
This time stuff is so weird but it's so good to see you.
[Trying to contain her excitement over here. She's so glad Sokka can't bend mud or rock walls at her.]
Video
[He knew people could come from different points in time, but so FAR away? ]
So...you're really the Avatar? From...like, the future?
[He can bend sarcasm at her, would she like that? ]
Well. This is absolutely a regular day.
[Okay. Okay. Let's process this. Here she is. the reincarnation of his friend, which means at some point his friend is dead. Which, okay, sure, no one lives forever but that's not a comfortable thought to wrestle with. ]
I have absolutely no idea how this even works. I mean- Aang remembered some weird stuff? But that was all Avatar business and I never really got that. So uh-
Yeah. Hi, reincarnation of my buddy?

"The Avatar"? Avatar of who, exactly?

[She may have noticed the ears.]
video
[She seems very interested, but not necessarily in a good way.]
Protect humans and spirits? From what?

But I have a question for you: what does an 'avatar' do, exactly?
[If she's going to offer to help, that was nice and all, but how was she supposed to help and with what? If Avatars are killers, then he isn't likely to need her help any time soon. At least, he assumes it's a title for a job and not some fancy title meant to simply say she could speak for another. That would be far less interesting.]
Audio
[She clears her throat a bit, trying to sound all professional and authoritative in her explanation.]
The Avatar - me, specifically - acts as the bridge between the Human World and the Spirit World. My job is to keep balance between the two to keep conflicts to a minimum and to assist in pushing back dark spirits as needed. I also act as the mediator between human conflicts, to keep the peace between people.
[Which she hardly needs to do that with spirit on spirit affairs. They were all peaceful unless they were corrupted by human interference.]
Audio
[That wasn't what he'd expected to hear at all. He expected some answer that would mostly go over his head. Instead he got something that sounded too good to be true.]
That sounds insanely useful. I wish we had someone like you back home, maybe there'd be less problems between people and the Fade or even people and mages. Your world must be awfully nice.

[Which he knows now too thanks to the augment, but it's still a culture shock coming from the Dark Ages to a super space future that his world's fiction hasn't even touched on yet.]

[She tilts her head to one side, thinking about it.]
I'm still exploring though, so I'm not even sure what to begin to ask about. Got the basics covered for the 'why' though.
[And Sokka was here for any questions related to home so there was that.]
