When he talks on the feed, he's got a bit of weird space flakes on the corner of his mouth, chewing quckly before he breaks out into conversation.]

Hi, guys! It's me, Takeshi - if you don't know me, I'm security! And m'not the youngest person, that's Vision; he's the youngest one. I wanted to ask if everyone was okay who got hurt before. I was morale officer on my old ship, too, so I gotta do that job, too! Um. Hang in there! You can always talk to me if you're bored or scared or hurt, because I'm always bored anyways, and I like to have company. Being alone's no fun, right??

No, Takeshi. X-Rays don't hurt at all. All they do is take a picture of your skeleton.

[ He wheels into the lab and activates the screen. ] Just stand in front of this please.

[ Charles replies, reassuringly. ]

[He sucks in a brave little breath before he side-steps in front of the machine.]

Alright!! It's like a camera; I can handle cameras!

[ Charles nods as he activates the x-ray machine. It only takes a few seconds before Charles calmly turns it off. Then he wheels himself back in front of Takeshi. ]

[He claps his hands together.]

[MAN TECHNOLOGY IS SO COOL.

Not that he's unused to it, what with living on multiple spaceships now, but dude you just looked at this brain.]

[ He nods, pressing a few buttons and waiting until the printout appears. ]

[He's coming over there, bounding over, really!]

Looks like it. It's fairly close to the side so it should be operable. I think you should see Dr. Beverly about this.

[He nods, looking a bit serious for a moment.]

[ He pauses. ]

What you have and what . . . Winter has is different. All we need to do is take it out and they won't be able to do that to you.

[He glances at Charles, looking quite grave.]

Yeah...

But they don't care if it's different.

If they want to, they can make my head explode. They won't care what happens if they get to keep playing around with us.

[ He hums lightly. ]

That's true. Which is why we do our best not to give them that. We circumvent what little we can and patch ourselves up when hurts are strong.

The way we lose is we act the way they want us to.

[He nods.]

I don't know if dying is losing and I don't think they'd do that.

But if you die, don't that mean you can't fight anymore?

These places usually keep a tight rein on death, so I couldn't say.

[He hums, thoughtful.]

When I was on my last ship, people stayed dead. They never came back...
