Hello, everyone!

[Is it a little late right now? It's a little late right now. People are probably wandering off to sleep; adults, anyway. Now that they're stuck on a planet or float around one, day and night cycles seem all the more prevalent in their day-to-day lives. Unfortunately, Koala is finding that she's had a hard time sleeping as of late. Bad dreams, as they had before, still persist — but it's gotten worse, since Winter's rampage.

That's not even to mention her anxiety feels... off the charts. Anyone who has been around her has probably noticed she's a bit twitchy, especially as far as touch is concerned. She's been easily spooked, feels like any moment someone will grab her and hurt her (punish her, for what, she's not sure). Sorry, Winter... It's hard to turn off her restlessness. 

She would hate to bring that up.

But on the flipside, she's really quite afraid of not getting enough sleep. 

Because if she can't properly work and keep up, well... nothing bad will happen. But it's hard to shake that instinct.]

U-um, hello to everyone who is awake right now, I mean. I'm sorry if I interrupted your bed time. I just wanted to ask... What reason do you usually find yourselves awake longer than you should be...? O-or... do you have trouble sleeping? If it's not too forward to ask such a thing! I apologize if it's very personal information. I just... I was wanting to know if anyone here had any advice for someone who, um — for a friend who might have a difficult time sleeping!

The tree gave me this very odd stuffed animal. It's a bit heavy, though...!

Those definitely qualify for cute as hell. [Oh kid. She won't offer to take your bag because she doesn't really wanna cause a minor heart attack on what the Proper Thing To Do is, so she just holds a hand out.] C'mon. I've got a wonderful view from my room. You'll love it.

[Good call, Nami. She may be weird about people doing anything for her, even carrying her things, but she's not about to ignore a hand held out from Miss Nami. Even if she does show some hesitancy - hesitancy she hadn't really had with Nami until after the Winter incident.

It's a timid thing, but she takes her hand with a sheepish smile.]

It's a nice place to stay?

This whole planet is very lovely, isn't it?

It's beautiful! What we've seen of it, anyway. [It's a huge place. The hesitancy is noted, but she doesn't say anything, giving Koala's hand a gentle squeeze.] But yeah, my room is high up. You can see a lot of the forest canopy, it's really pretty from that angle.

[Really pretty down here, too. She guides Koala deftly along the pathways, smiling cheerfully at any passersby but not particularly inclined to stop and chat and touch. Holding hands is enough and she isn't sure if the sharing thing can be deliberate, but she's doing her best to think of reassuring company and beautiful views, okay.]

Are you having a lot of trouble sleeping lately?

[She shrugs, which is at least better than fervently denying it.

Because really, part of her wants to just say no, no way, not her. She's very good! But that's not what her life is now — she's trying to be a normal person, and normal people... admit their faults, don't they?]

Maybe... a little bit...

It's pretty common. Don't let it worry you-- eventually, the mind tends to even out. It helps if you keep busy during the day! Like--

{What's a good example that doesn't involve working like a goddamned slave--]

Go to the beach for the day! Make sandcastles, go swimming, wear yourself out having a good time. You could come sailing with me! Maybe then when you go home you'll be so tired you'll fall asleep right away.

[She knows that's the idealist's point of view. She's kinda been where you are. But one can hope, right? In the meantime, the beach is fun.]

Oh, I've done that before! It's so much easier to sleep when you exhaust yourself!

I love to swim, though! Do you think we could go sailing together?

You totally could. I love taking people sailing! [SHE'S BEEN THERE KOALA it's okay sound as bad as you want. Nami gives her a wide grin, leaning a little closer in.]

You know, there's a lot of people on the Fleet that have never been on a sea ship. It's a travesty. Far more fun than just floating around space in a tin can, right?

[She sounds pretty darn grim about it, too; not sailing is truly horrible.]

I'll help you take some people sailing, then! I'll always enjoy going with you, Miss Nami!

Ah! You know, it'll be great having another person around who knows a bit about sailing. You're on, then! You come help me show people how it's done.

[Seems like something we can get behind here. It'll help wear Koala out too. In a good way.]
