I have an important request. I need someone who can make cheese. Do cheese makers have an old timey name like cobblers and haberdashers or are those only for clothes? Anyway, calling all of those.

Cheese doesn't seem to be a thing here from what I can tell, but we're just one ingredient away from some really great pizza. I have no idea what cheese requires other than cows or goats or something. I grew up so close to Wisconsin, but I feel like I learned so little.

I would also accept alternative cheese. I know there were vegan kinds made out of hopes and dreams or something I assume. I can pay you or share the finished pizza or do something in trade if I had skills. I could beat someone up for you maybe. [She's not going to do that. Probably.] We'll work it out.

Remy Mingle Continuation: Carnival

What can I say? When I do something I do it all the way. [But she's happy to not be clawing her fellow mutant.]

I guess I can't pass up a guy in need, can I? [She takes his arm, smiling a little and glad to have the company. Besides, she's been hoping to spend more time around the other X-Men. Even the ones who weren't actually X-Men.]

Ya know, [Remy started as he matched his pace to hers so they could start walking again and hoping to spot out anything interesting.] Can't actually remember the last time been to a thing like this. Not sure I ever have actually, apart from maybe to make a fast get away. Crowds can certainly be a thief's best friend at times.

I know you mean the crowds but I like the idea of you getting on a roller coaster and just going in circles until it stops thinking that was a fast get away. [She gives him a wry smile.]

I know the last time I was at one. It was in the prison. It was one of the anniversaries. Day 200 maybe? It was...kind of nice at the time. [Her voice says there's a little more to it than that.]

[Remy let out a loud laugh at that imagery she described, it ending in a touch of a sigh and a chuckle.] Oh mon Dieu, that wasn't fair. Brilliant, but not fair, catchin' a boy off guard with a joke like that. [That idea was just too funny. And sounded like a great challenge.

Yet he sobered at her next comment.] Gotta wonder what these aliens got with pickin' people up, hein? Kinda goes beyond all the claims made back home, though glad there be less probin' than most people say happens.

[She laughs lightly at both his reactions, happy to let her thoughts stray from the time at the prison.] You've never met aliens back home? No Kree or Shi'ar stopping by?

[A shake of his head before confirming it with words.] Nope, not that 'm aware of at least, just be crazy stories 'nd theories with how big the universe be. Guessin' ya'll had run in with... ok, seriously, aliens are real? [Well,] I mean, other than kidnappin' ones like our current 'nd previous hosts.

Sure. I mean, they usually wanted nothing to do with earth since we were such a mess on our own I think, but we had some connections.

Now that I can understand, scarin' others off like that. [Ha ha, very funny Remy. But still.] Guess m' world be a but younger than ya's in some events, hein? [After all she and Kurt had already gone through what would had happened if Apocalypse had won, his was just recovering from his first appearance, because Remy wasn't a fool, he knew the ancient mutant was still out there somewhere.]

[She shrugs her shoulders.] I guess so, but I don't think we're just your future either. Let's hope not at least.

Yeah, [Though feeling that this might turn a bit too sobering again considering the topic, Remy tightened his arm momentarily so it squeezed hers as a distraction, aiming a smile at her.] But ain't 'mportant right now. What be is makin' sure we can scam a few prizes out of the games here. Though I can't think this place could be as rigged as others, not when ya can reach out 'nd tell if they lyin' or not 'nd able to call them on it.

Oh, between the two of us, we'll clean this place out of stuffed animals and plastic thinga-ma-bobs. We'll probably get banned from the carnival. Live out the rest of our stays in carnival-less hells.

Ya know, I actually like that idea. [Remy gaining a wicked grin at the thought of a few people he would drop those prizes off at, before the smile softened again.] Sure some of the local kids wouldn't mind some free toys.
