I have an important request. I need someone who can make cheese. Do cheese makers have an old timey name like cobblers and haberdashers or are those only for clothes? Anyway, calling all of those.

Cheese doesn't seem to be a thing here from what I can tell, but we're just one ingredient away from some really great pizza. I have no idea what cheese requires other than cows or goats or something. I grew up so close to Wisconsin, but I feel like I learned so little.

I would also accept alternative cheese. I know there were vegan kinds made out of hopes and dreams or something I assume. I can pay you or share the finished pizza or do something in trade if I had skills. I could beat someone up for you maybe. [She's not going to do that. Probably.] We'll work it out.

[Kitty brings her shuttle in for a landing and as soon as it stops she phases out the door.]

Let's go. [Striding past them. Pleasantries? What are those?]

[Beverly shoots Kara a concerned look before following Kitty down the hall and to his quarters.]

Do you know about how long he'd been there before you found him, Kara?

It wasn't long at all. I heard him fall and came out.

[Moving. Moving. Moving. She's listening to their conversation but has nothing to interject just yet. When she gets to his room she just phases through the door without stopping. Not until she reaches his side.

There was some flicker of hope inside her that said maybe he'd just be sitting there working on a project, confused about how he got in there. But he's not. He's just laying there, looking like he's sleeping.]

Winn? [Again, a flicker of hope as if her voice will wake him. Should she try true love's kiss next? But no, she's all out of tricks. Her mission of "get to Winn" is complete and now she's just helpless in this.]

[Beverly takes a moment longer to follow - she, after all, has to open the door. She rests a hand on Kitty's shoulder briefly before taking out her tricorder and starting her scan of Winn.]

[ Kara hangs back, by the door. She already had some time with unconscious Winn so she's going to let the others have their time ]

I didn't notice anything wrong when I scanned him.

[She tenses under the touch, but doesn't phase. She's just not sure how to receive comfort right now.] How is he? Can you wake him?

[As the tricorder finishes its scan, she shakes her head. The results are all too frustratingly familiar.]

No, I'm sorry, I can't. Physically, there is nothing wrong with him - this is an Atroma-induced coma. They've done it multiple times before, though why they do it, I have yet to discern. The best I can do is keep monitoring him to make sure his condition doesn't change.

So, what, we just wait it out?

Should we keep him here, Kitty?

[It's the answer she already fully expected, but her heart sinks when she hears it and she probably looks a little too distracted and sad over someone just being asleep. But her history with Atroma-induced comas even in her short time here tells her that they often end with the person disappearing completely.

She's afraid she's going to lose him. She loses everyone. Why would Winn be any different?

It takes a moment to register a question has been asked of her.] Mm, unless you need him in the lab? [She'd rather have him somewhere he'll wake up and it will feel familiar. Would their room at the inn be better? But, no, the ship feels the safest with him this vulnerable. Not that anyone is looking to attack him. But the urge to think strategically is never far.]

[Beverly is hardly going to judge Kitty for being upset - she did the same thing when Sokka was in his coma. Losing people is difficult, no matter how it happens.]

No, no, there's not reason to move him, he's fine right here, as long as you're alright with me stopping by to check up on him.

[She's not sure she can leave him. She reaches out to brush a few strands of hair back into place, eyes fixed on his face. He doesn't feel cool or wrong in any way. But nothing about it feels right either.]

What about nutrition? Or do the Atroma just take care of all of it? [She's used to overlords that just make things work even when it doesn't exactly make sense.]

From what I've seen before in cases like this, nutrition has not been a problem. How the Atroma do it, I'm not sure, but he's not in any physical danger from that.

Yeah, thanks. [Softly. Not thinking much about the two fully functioning people in the room at the moment.]

[She gives both of them a significant look. Not just medical help.]

[Kitty just nods. Sorry. She's all out of moves here. She just wants to crawl onto the bed next to him and listen to his heart beat.]
