I have an important request. I need someone who can make cheese. Do cheese makers have an old timey name like cobblers and haberdashers or are those only for clothes? Anyway, calling all of those.

Cheese doesn't seem to be a thing here from what I can tell, but we're just one ingredient away from some really great pizza. I have no idea what cheese requires other than cows or goats or something. I grew up so close to Wisconsin, but I feel like I learned so little.

I would also accept alternative cheese. I know there were vegan kinds made out of hopes and dreams or something I assume. I can pay you or share the finished pizza or do something in trade if I had skills. I could beat someone up for you maybe. [She's not going to do that. Probably.] We'll work it out.

I feel like there was an insult tucked inside there for me. [She raises an eyebrow at him.] I think I see why someone would throw things at you. Not that I was or ever would.

It's serious. [And she likes the idea. Fighting a version of the dark beast should probably freak her out, but it's hard to see that in Hank especially when he looks like this. Speaking of which...] Can you? I mean, like this?

I've been doing some training with Mystique. [like this, because while he knew how to fight in general, everything was muted like this. He couldn't depend on the same things he did while he was Beast] So - yes, but I don't know how much of a challenge I'll be.

That's okay. I like challenges and I like winning so it all works out for me.

So, Mystique as in the one you aren't dating? [She assumes she would have called her Raven.]

But - yes, the one I'm not dating. [that's how he's separated them in his head, Mystique and Raven] Though I've sparred with - the one I'm dating, too. Er, as me, though, not - like this.

[what a complicated question. He rubs at that side of his neck for a moment before he finally shrugs]

I do, but - it isn't really me, either. Not the way it was.

Which one do you feel more at home in? [Is it neither?]

Neither - if I'm honest. I'm more comfortable like this, but - it still feels off in a way, sometimes.

That much I'm alright with. I mean - I deliberately weakened the serum here so it wouldn't last as long. It's more . . . it feels off because everything's muted? The more time I spend as myself, the more I notice it when I'm like this.

[he sticks out his tongue, because he's mature] I can talk about things like that while you fail to knock me out of a tree.

[Interesting stuff. She wonders about him and about what she'd do in his situation. It's a little hard to imagine. She's always "passed."]

[all it takes is for him to tip backwards and let gravity do the rest. He catches the branch below him with ease, one-handed so he can give her a cheeky little wave from his new position. Hanging out as if it's the most natural thing in the world for him.
