I have an important request. I need someone who can make cheese. Do cheese makers have an old timey name like cobblers and haberdashers or are those only for clothes? Anyway, calling all of those.

Cheese doesn't seem to be a thing here from what I can tell, but we're just one ingredient away from some really great pizza. I have no idea what cheese requires other than cows or goats or something. I grew up so close to Wisconsin, but I feel like I learned so little.

I would also accept alternative cheese. I know there were vegan kinds made out of hopes and dreams or something I assume. I can pay you or share the finished pizza or do something in trade if I had skills. I could beat someone up for you maybe. [She's not going to do that. Probably.] We'll work it out.

[He smirks against her hair - both for the surprise acceptance of his idea, and the question about her sanity.]

My dear Kitty, since I am fairly certain your sanity is the only thing that keeps you together at the seams, I would not relish stuffing you back together. You're a biter.

I'm almost sure I've never bitten you. What has Winn been saying about me? [You know, back when Winn could say things about her.]

[tallasaking]

No, but I note you did not say you would not bite me in the future. [Is his innocent reply.] And you know very well Winn would never tell me.

I'm not in the business of making promises I might not keep. [About as playful as she's getting and a sigh follows his last comment.] Oh, I know.

[Not that she wants Winn idly talking to people about their love life, but they did have a fight not too long ago over Tyrion. Winn felt like Kitty had set up a thoughtful and romantic date for him with his favorite meal. He might hate that she's here now too, but he also didn't want her being unable to see her friends so here they are. And those memories may now play themselves for Tyrion on top of it all. Hazards of the planet.]

There's something to look forward to. [All those memories flood through him, and he lets out a wry snort.] He pays me a greater compliment than he knows. Especially considering ... well.

[That Winn was, and always would be, a million times better for Kitty. Or at least that was the thought that Tyrion had. He wasn't a sweet man, he was a kind man but not a trusting one. Winn was all those things, and more. He would always be able to give Kitty more -- and Tyrion knew it.]

[She pulls back if only to sit at a less awkward angle, but she keeps a hand in his.]

You know I can't argue that you'd be better for me than Winn. [Because loyalty and love and all that.] But you're a great guy, Tyrion. [That's why she was drawn here when she was feeling lost. He may not trust easily and neither does she, but she does trust him.

And how do you compete with Winn on sweet? Winn really does seem too sweet to be real. If their situations were reversed he'd be... What? What would Winn do?

Work frantically trying to find some way to wake her back up probably and still find time to have surprises waiting for her when she does.]

I would honestly be surprised if you did. [Is his wry response, but it's softened by a smile. Their trust was built on hard times, hard confessions, and this ... odd planet. Honestly he only trusts her more now.

But Winn would always win on sweet. He was what Kitty needed, and wanted, but mostly needed. What she needed from Tyrion was a friend, and that was what he was here for. Blurry lines be damned - if his level of dedication wasn't completely naked.]

[She squeezes Tryion's hand thankful for his wry comments and gentle understanding.]

I really don't want to lose him. [She knows there's nothing more to be said or done about it. She just has to wait now, but sometimes you just have to say the thing you feel even if it is obvious. But she is realizing maybe for the first time just how deep her feelings for Winn go now. She isn't just upset about losing another person in a long strong of loss or about the thought of starting over again. She's really upset about Winn specifically and what he means to her.]

[tallasaking]

[He squeezes her hand in kind, before he sighs quietly.]

I cannot promise you that you will not. What I will say now is that we will not give up on him. Not without a fight. He would not give up on us. [That much he could say, without a inch of doubt. Winn would never give up on them, so they would never give up on him.]

I wish there was something to fight when these things happen. Just a monster or ten or fifty that I have to take out. [Battles like waiting and hoping for the best aren't her strong suit. She'd like a chance to punch and kick and claw her way to victory again.] I promise it would be good ratings.

[tallasaking]

I apologize, the only monster there is to fight is in your own mind, my dear, and I cannot battle him. Only you can. [He gave her a sad little smile.]

I know. [She sighs and lies back on his bed. Totally normal and appropriate, right?] How are you? [Since she hasn't seen him in awhile and hasn't asked and just barraged into his room tonight to hijack his support.]

[Absolutely appropriate. No idea why Winn is worried about the two of them. He himself slumps back against his pillows, his expression slightly quizzical and amused.]

...I have never been so accidentally close to people in all my life. I believe you are the only person I have purposefully touched through this entire encounter. No, I take that back ... I purposefully took Dany's hand to get her that dragon egg. I believe I managed to keep my most inappropriate thoughts in check.

[Right? The most innocent an unassuming.]

I'm honored. [She's teasing, but what she said was also true. She is honored to be someone he'd want to share his thoughts and feelings with even when you don't have much control about what comes out.]

I talked to her finally. You still seemed to be in her good graces, so I guess it worked out.

[They are so platonic it hurts our teeth.]

You should be. [Is his mock answer, but the smile he gives her is warm.]

I am not entirely sure Dany knows what to make of me. I shall endeavor to work on that.

[She platonically reaches over to brush back some of his hair gently. It's good to have some kind of connection still. She had friends and support here before Winn arrived and she has even more now if she'll let them in. That's the hard part. It's a little less hard with Tyrion.]

Does anyone really know what to make of you?

[He ever so platonically leans into that touch a little, before he leans back again. Their connection was far more than simple meet and greets. They had done the near impossible - let another person in.

His mis-matched eyes glinted.] Not even a little. The woman who does is the one I'm going to marry.

[It's a terrifying thing to do but if it works out it's the best kind of thing.]

Does it make it awkward then if I says I thought I understood you a little?

[It is always the best, with them.]

Not even. You are absolutely the one person I know understands me.

[She smiles a little.] Did you just propose while Winn is in a coma? Sneaky. [She finds his hand and gives it a squeeze as she manages a light smile.]

[tallasaking]

[He chortles softly at that, before he gallantly takes her hand and kisses it.] Naturally. I always strike when my foes are unaware. This seemed like the best distraction I would get. So now he will just have to deal with the fact that I asked you first - even he'll probably be the one who asks you last.

[And, alas, get the girl. That was how these things worked though, and in his expression there was only warm humor.]

Like Winn could be anyone's foe. You think he'd ask? [She looks thoughtful. More peaceful though. It's a nice idea.] We haven't talked about it at all. [They haven't really been together that long.] There was some accidental talk of children.

[tallasaking]

...By the Seven, he couldn't be. That is the sweetest man in all of existence. [Who could ever hate Winn?] He would be a fool not to. [Was Tyrion's firm opinion on the matter.] Once you find the right one, and she feels the same about you, you do not waste time. The wedding itself can wait, but at least make sure you know that he is yours, and you are his.

[How is she even with the sweetest man in all of existence? How did that happen?] Might not be the safest thing to ask in a place like this where they can put us to sleep or send us away whenever they want. Not that life is ever long and guaranteed. [Okay, sometimes it's long but it's not really surprising she doesn't see it that way anymore.]

[Tyrion isn't sure, but he most definitely is outclassed in the sweet department for the rest of his days. Winn could pin that on his lapel.] Perhaps, perhaps not. But that is the risk of love, is it not? You never know what might happen.
