[It's a party!  Or it's an excuse to enjoy yourself and drink with friends, whatever.  Beach, bonfire, booze, birthday cake, and maybe a beach volleyball game sob. Anyone who knows Nami is invited, but if you just want to wander by and get dragged into the festivities, well hey!  It's a public beach.

In short, it's a mingle log for having one hell of a night.  The ponies are in charge of this party, so you just know it's gonna be festive.]

She flails at the cold water like she's trying to push a bug away from her face, so utterly useless really. Excuse her while she sputters a bit and staggers in the water as she shakes her head, wow. Okay, she's drunk. But MORE IMPORTANTLY:]

When? [Have a splash right back you jerk.] Because we talked about it, and he should know it's a bad idea.

He accepts the splash to his face without a struggle. Humble, this creature.

Then he shakes his head.]

It was a little while ago... Honestly, uh. I worry about him a lot... here and there, y'know? He's my brother. Jus' feels like I'm always worried about him.

He's your brother. If you didn't worry, I'd worry. [But also yes, this is a mentally unhealthy brother, even she can see that much. Nami frowns, listing to the side as she's hit by a wave, but she keeps her feet.]

...I should talk to him. I remember what happened last time someone tried. It wasn't good.

[He nods. Then hiccups. Maybe he should drink more.]

[He shakes his hair, spraying water, sniffling from the assault the cold's had on his nose.]

M'glad there are people who can look out for him.

[She cups her palm over the bottle of whiskey, don't you dare get salt water in it.]

He'll listen about as much as you do, I bet.

[He leans on Nami, looking kindly her direction.]

[He grins lazily before a yawn rounds his chest and shoulders for a second, before slouching even more on her, just to tease and annoy her.]

Man, mmm'friggin' tired. M'getting oooold.

Look, she's amazing and manages to keep the bottle from going under, so don't worry. Nami comes back up spluttering and snickering with a hand fisted in his shirt.]

Brook is older than you are and it doesn't stop him from dancing all over the place. Stop complaining.

Brook's a skeleton, Nami. He doesn't even... haf muscles and a brain to get tired.

[He flops against her tiredly, not even bothering to be modest right now. It's a contrast to the nervous guy fidgeting in his bed at her joking advances - maybe because by now he's learned better, knows Nami is safe ground, that he can just be a drunk idiot around her and the strawhats and not... freak out. About as much.

Like, usually he just sits and mopes when he's drunk lately.

It's nice. To just be his usual drunken self.

He sighs.]

Man, look at that sky. Isn't it f--friggin' cool?

[Sam's seen a hell of a lot of starry skies, but this one's really friggin cool, okay?]

Very cool. [She's seen some glorious night skies and this one doesn't measure up, but it's clear and beautiful in its own right and drunkenness tends to put some amazing rose-coloured glasses on. She wipes wet hair out of her face with the back of her wrist, still supporting Sam on one side, and takes another drink before shuddering a little.]

Very cool and very cold. Here, hold this.

[Don't drop my whiskey, man. But I'm gonna start steering us back out of the water. In a kind of...meander-y fashion.]

He holds the bottle obediently, looking pleased with this whooole situation.]

I've had colder. [Whether he's talking about Lucifer and the Cage or hunting out in snow, who knows. But he seems entirely okay with the chilly weather.] I'd give you my jacket, but, uh.

Your jacket'd weigh me down and drown me. [Your size vs. her size man. She's not privy to Lucifer's coldness, so at least she misses that possible reference.]

[He yawns a little, as if she'd set it off herself.]

Dunno. Man, I think I'm really, really drunk.

But I can walk fine. M'good, m'good, let's — I'm hungry, actually. We should get something. Then crash and regret it tomorrow morning, but whatever. It's your birthday, regret comes with the package.

[She's laughing a bit by the time he finishes, but yeah okay. Steering back to the food table. At least with so much fruit/salad related snacks there's a lot that appeals, right?]

You got it. Keep holding my drink an' I'll get us a bunch of food to go. Remind me to thank the ponies in the morning.

[He leans happily in the direction of the food and focuses on not making an ass of himself (... any more than usual). He's a loser who doesn't really get much food to go, but he is clearly out of his usual zone by eating things that Dean would approve of before he leaves. Gotta eat all the little weird cakes. [Don't sweat it, Sam, most of the snacks are kind of your thing. Nami's just as big a fan of rabbit food, apparently.]

I find I sleep better at night if I just don't ask the big questions, Sam. [She hands him a plate and blinks owlishly, then kinda starts gently pushing him shipwards. And by gently, it's not at all that she's using him for balance.]

C'mon. I'll make sure you don't get mugged by a stiff breeze on the way home.

[Giggling now because she's not picturing the caveman route at all. She'll just leave that there, help him home, help him peel off those outer layers and hang them out so they're not a musty smell mess of damp in the morning. She's sleepy herself, stifling a drunken yawn, but playing big sister, really.]

[He buries his face in the pillow, not quite sleeping, but feeling the pull of it. You could probably roll him up in the blanket and airlock him and he'd be too blissful to bother moving.]

I'm not sure I wanna be compared to Dean. [But she says it with a lot of amusement. She had a bit in common with original recipe!Dean, but...not so much the one currently here. But you know what, taking you at your word while yawning. She fishes out her comm and flops down suddenly on the floor next to Sam's bed, shaking it. She might've accidentally taken it into the water with her, whoops.]

Say 'cheese'. Or 'put it away and don't be mean'. Either or.

[A sober Sam would feel downright bashful and shy away from the idea of someone taking a picture of him lingering on a bed — and... yeah, drunk Sam is also pretty embarrassed at the thought, too, but he is far more likely to let it be (see: alien orgies, Sam, come the fuck on). So he gives a blushing grin at the camera anyway.]

He also proceeds to flop over and sigh loudly, like an obnoxious little brother who has been stuck in the back of the car for way too long on a road trip. But Sam has always been annoyingly complicated about his moods when it comes to laying down and staring at his ceiling. Maybe guiltily. Dean's been in bad moods, and back home, Dean's stuck on a submarine and Sam's probably dying, and Cas is possessed, and...]

Not always a bad thing, to be compared t'Dean.

He's really inventive... Made his own ghost detector, uh, thingy once. And he actually is a really good cook, when he's in the mood to be a hen. Yeah. He's pretty cool, I guess. That's how you know I'm drunk — saying he's cool. He's not, but he is, or whatever.
