Who: Bigby Wolf
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: You can try and find him about, he's in the forest.
When: Now? Ish?
[Bigby was only shifted long enough to get up the communicator where can see it and respond, so it's the giant wolf at a bit of a distance chatting to the screen.]
I'm curious. I hear people talk about wanting to go home more'n anything, but people I've actually spoken to? I know of about four of us who don't want to go back.
Which side are you lot out there on? Want to go home? Want not to? Don't give a shit?

[Bit like Bigby himself. He's been carefully trained into thinking of other talking things as being like himself, mentally.]

How's dead work for you then?

[wanting to shank Crowley helped a lot]
What do you mean?

[Mutual enemy helped as well with ingratiating him.]
Well... you said you're dead back home. Is that you, your host body... is dead actually dead?
no subject
[she tilts her head, then gives a hum of understanding] My host's body has technically been dead for years; but when I'm inhabiting it, it's more or less alive. I'm dead dead - there's only a handful of weapons that can kill a demon and one of those were used. So, overall I'm a whole lot of dead. Not here, of course.

[He understand the nuances of death. Dead doesn't always mean dead... except when it does.]
Well. That sucks.

My story's a little longer than that, but I'll give you the cliff notes version; we tried to start the apocalypse, we lost and Lucifer was thrown back down into the cage, and the new king of hell went on a hunting trip for all the remaining demons still loyal to dear ol' dad. [she wiggles her fingers] So I sided with the humans he pissed off. And then down the road, I threw in with them again because it was the best option.
[a shrugs]
Them's the breaks. At the very least, it was on my terms.

Doesn't sound all that different, though.
Yeah, dying on your own terms can make a difference.
no subject
Not really, no. We have a lot in common.
It sure does. I'd be a hell of a lot angrier if I'd gone out another way.

[His ear flicks.]
Never thought that much about death. Not for a long time. Not my own, anyway.

I know Fables can die, in theory. I'm looking forward to the day that Bluebeard gives me reason to test it on him. But until recently we didn't have any real deaths.
Not until Faith.

Well. We can be killed. But it takes a fuck load of punishment and magic to do it.
no subject
It takes some special shit to kill us, but we can get kicked out our hosts easily enough. Or sent back to Hell - which is a bitch and a half, because it takes forever to find a way back out.

I hate rhyming. The fucking Mirror makes me do it every time I ask him something.
