Who: Allen Walker
Broadcast: Video
Action: The Hand-Holding Planet
When: Time is relative.
[The feed opens up different from Allen's usual clinic-related broadcasts. First of all, the camera seems shaky, like it's been held by something flying. It also seems to be out in the forest, or rather near a clearing in the forest.]
[And behind him instead of Timcanpy, seems to be what looks like...well, a dead dinosaur that's so big you can only see a bit of it on the camera. And Sokka's in the background, pacing around and measuring the dinosaur from all angles, muttering to himself.]
Ah, hello all! [Allen gives a wave] I'm Allen Walker of the SS Blue Fish. I don't have any clinic announcements, but ah...
[He glances back, then looks at the camera again]
Well you see, my captain and I went hunting and we sort of...overdid it, a tad. You see, um, Tim? Can you show them?
[The shaky camera pans around, showing that yep- that is indeed a dead T. rex. A tree has been toppled on it, and there's stab wounds in the neck. Sokka meanwhile has started to examine the dinosaur with....finger square frame. Okay. After a moment, the camera will go back to focus on Allen]
Yeah, as you can see- I don't think we can get this back to our ship on our own, or fit it in the ship, if we did.
[He claps his hands together] So! We were thinking...if anyone would like some meat for your ship, we'd be happy to share! Just come on by and take some! We're out in the forest, a few miles outside of the city. There's clearly plenty to go around!
Oh, and if you have a way to move it closer to the ships, that'd be even better! We'd be happy to share an even larger portion! [He glances around the forest, a bit nervous. Behind him, Sokka seems to started drawing with intense concentration, using a nearby tree stump for his surface. Allen seems to talk like he's more talking to himself than anything:] I know I'd like to be out of here before we meet his friends...
[And then he clears his throat and looks back at the camera] Anyway. That's all! Have a nice day!

[He almost wishes he could grab a regular supply, but--nah. Pinkie'd have a fit.]

Could consider selling off the rest once everyone from the Fleet takes a part.

Not a bad idea. I bet systems with less hunting would pay a good price for it if we preserve it.
no subject
Yeah I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty good for acorns right now.
no subject
Doesn't hurt to have more though, right? What if you find something even better in the market before we leave?
no subject
No, no- not acorns.
Think about it. What if we made some of this jerky or froze it- and then the next planet we came upon was one where they only really had proteins to eat?
Don't you think they'd pay a nice price for some nice meat? And maybe even in credits!
no subject
...Huh. I never thought about it before. I mean, sure, I can easily dry some out to make jerky. For you and your crew too, Finn. That's not a problem. And maybe it would help? Cross-planet commerce, or something.
no subject
Plus, we could always eat it.

...I know that probably isn't a real thing but I just made it one so there.

Anyway, I'll meet up again after everyone claims what they want. Talk to my crew about keeping some extra.

Okay, sounds great!

[That's it, that's the name for them now. Forever.]
Sure thing.
