[So... is the whole stuffing-information-in-your-head somebody's Quirk? Because it's an especially scary one, if that's the case. Ochako can't help poking at the back of her neck, feeling for the augment, with an increasing level of alarm as she wanders through the ship she'd woken up in. The communicator gripped tightly in her hands has been all but useless, too- she's tried to call all the numbers she knows by heart, but they won't connect to anyone familiar. She really does appear to be alone in the middle of nowhere. And- okay, she's always liked space and the sky and stars and whatnot- sort of comes hand in hand with gravity control, she figures. But she didn't expect to ever go there. Certainly not without someone who knows what they're doing.

The communicator keeps flashing at her, though, so eventually she braves sending a message to the masses in the hopes of finding some familiar - or at least friendly - faces. Let's... try smiling...! Yes!]

So, um. That. Sure is a lot of space out there, haha!

I guess nobody out there's got a convenient Quirk that can send me home, huh?

[Will you look at that, makes it much easier. She tilts the comm to get a better look at him, then waves cheerfully.]

[waves back equally cheerful] Hiya!

Heheh, I'm still getting used to this actually. There's nothing like these things back home. Being able to talk to people face-to-face even when they're far away? So cool.

We have this kind of thing back home, so this is familiar, at least. I'm glad that I can see your face now! Oh, but here-

[She sets the comm down, propping it against something, then backs up a step. She vanishes for a couple of moments, then returns holding one of the pillows from the medical area.]

Is this a good spot? Can you see me?

Perfect! [DOUBLE THUMBS UP. ...that she maybe not see from back there. Oh well, she undoubtedly feels it in her adventurous spirit!] Fire it up, Uraraka!

[One quick activation of the Quirk aaaaaand-- the pillow effortlessly floats on its own as she releases it, standing aside with her hands behind her back to show she isn't touching it.]

Ta-da!

Heehee, thank you! Lots of people I know have much more flashy Quirks, but I think it's pretty useful.

[holy heck that looks so neat] Can you do more than one object at a time?

Yeah, I can do a bunch! I just have to be careful not to do too many at once or I throw up. I'm still in training, after all.

Uck. [no offense] Throwing up is the worst. You be careful! Don't overwork yourself, especially since you just got here.

I'll try not to! But a pillow's no big deal, so this is fine.

What about you? Can people do anything like this where you're from?

Definitely not! [thoughtful pause] Well, human beings anyway. The elemental spirits I was telling you about, maybe they could hold something up with wind? Or just hold it. They're invisible to most people so it'd look like it was floating.

[willynilly]

Oh, neat! You have invisible friends too, then. There's a girl at school back home who's Quirk is invisibility. All we see of her is her floating clothes!

[monolike]

Oh, her clothes are visible? That must make it tough if she's trying to sneak around. [so pure, so innocent, this guy]

That's not a problem at all! She just takes her clothes off.

Does she! [so practical!!!] Sounds chilly. That's gotta be difficult for extreme cold temperatures...but I guess that's not the sort of thing that would come up often.

Seraphim have it easy, they can just imbue their clothes and possessions so they're invisible too.

Oh, hm. Doesn't that make it harder, too? I mean, people must bump into them a lot, if they can't tell that anyone's there.

[That sounds kind of inconvenient.]

Seraphim don't tend to gather in huge numbers in human cities. They don't need food or sleep, so most just wander around wherever they like.

Whoa... they really are spirits.

[So, so trippy. Even the most unusual Quirks still have a very human person attached to them.]

How come you know about them? You said most people... so does that mean you can see them?

[monolike]

Oh, yeah. Since I was raised by seraphim I developed resonance at a really young age, so I've seen them as long as I can remember. Though that'd be pretty weird, to be taken care of by invisible people!

Oh, that's so neat! So you get... "resonance"? By being around them? How long does that take?

[monolike]

...you know, I'm not sure! There might be factors, like how many seraphim are around, natural affinity and whether or not in your heart you want to see them, or even believe they exist. I think some people here on the fleet have started at least hearing my friend Mikleo within a few months- oh, and one kid can see another! So maybe just a few months then?

That's if you don't already have resonance too. You could!

[WELL. She just perks right up at the very idea. Practically bouncing on her heels.]

Oh! You mean some of your invisible friends are here?

Yup, a few! There's Mikleo, who was raised alongside me. And Dezel, they're both on the Huntress, like myself.

There's also Zaveid [who should not be a girl's first introduction to seraphim] who is. An odd duck, but a really wonderful person. [He just takes getting used to.

...though come to think of it, maybe Dezel shouldn't be her first introduction to seraphim either. He is likewise an odd duck, just in a completely different way.]
