broadcast (open and closed), action (open)
Who: Arthur and you
Broadcast: Red Fish, Fleetwide
Action: Iskaulit (Space bar)
When: Let's say today. Takes place after this log
Warnings: Discussion of death
» Red Fish
[This is filtered to the Red Fish crew. Arthur's showered, his hair is wet and disheveled, and he's in a t-shirt and sweats. Minimum effort. He has a cut on his cheek, and he's holding his arm to his side. His voice is low and soft, cracking now and then.]
I'm really sorry to have to give you guys this message. I wanted to tell you guys privately, though. Syeira is dead. One of those... dinosaurs on the planet killed her. She... she died protecting me and some others. I didn't know what to do...
[He bites his lip, and shakes his head, as if to rid it from those horrible thoughts.] I thought we could honor her somehow. I have some drawings of her and some candles... I don't know. Any ideas?
» Fleetwide
[Arthur looks a little better now. He's dressed up to a sweater and pants, combed and slicked back his hair. He almost looks normal, except for the cut on his cheek, his pale face, and the way he's carrying his arm.]
I'm Arthur Hall, if any of you don't me. I was involved in an incident with a few other passengers that involved one of those... dinosaur things.
I have the unfortunate task of telling the ship as a whole that Syeira is dead. One of those dinosaur look-alikes killed her. She was a good friend of mine, and I'm... I'm...
[He swallows, having trouble speaking now.] I'm sorry to her friends. She was wonderful, and I'll miss her.
[Man, he can't do this. He just gives up and turns off the camera.]
» Action on the Iskaulit
Arthur's at the space bar with his arm tucked to his side, holding his cup of alcohol with his left hand. He hasn't seen a doctor. He hasn't seen much of anyone. He's not getting trashed, just having a drink.
[ooc: As far as I'm aware, it's not common knowledge that people come back from death. Feel free to comment, though Arthur might ignore disrespectful/stupid comments. Please be aware of the warning. Post is made with Syeira mun's permission. I'll follow example on the action part for prose vs brackets.]

[Her voice has a note of careful control to it. She has her own grieving to do, but her instinct to take care of others comes first - often it's her way of coping.]

She killed it, at least.
Video
I'm sorry. I didn't know her but ... I'm sorry. [She's not sure what to say. You don't get time to grieve in the Wastelands.]
Video
She would have liked you. She was a warrior, and a good person.
[Things he would say they have in common.]

He pours him another drink, and waves his hand.] These are on the house. Please ... let me know if I can get you anything.

[And now he doesn't know what to say. He skims his finger along the top of his cup and determinedly watches it.] I'm Arthur.

Re: Video
On the Iskaulit
[She approaches the bar, and takes a seat on a stool one over from Arthur. One of her arms resting on the bar, while her other hand is against her leg, two of its fingers touching something in her pocket. It's as if she wants a constant reminder that whatever is in her pocket is in fact still there and hasn't disappeared or wasn't a trick. After ordering a drink and sitting silently for a moment, she tries to talk to Arthur.]
I'm sorry. About your friend.

I'm Arthur. But I guess you already knew that. [He doesn't try to shake her hand. His right arm is still against his side. He sees her touching her pocket and stops, reminded of himself touching his totem.] What's that? In your pocket? If you don't mind me asking.

audio
How? How did it happen?
audio
We were travelling through the forest and it came up on us. Only one of us had a weapon and she... she tried to distract it from us.
