Having an engineering augment had seriously helped him with the ability to have some breathing space on the rather overly metal surfaces of the First Breath. Not that he didn't love his ship - honestly he spent as much time there chatting up Lily and Hawke as he did sleep.

Let's face it, Tyrion wasn't much for sleeping. So when he wasn't working on the Engineering of the ship (hour or two, tops), or his own projects (four to five depending on how late he stayed up), then managing the bar (eight hours), he still had time on his hands. So he would take that shuttle, and head out into the deep dark (don't think about it, do not even think about not having air), to visit.

If you are expecting a handsome - well at least charming - dwarf, do feel free to open your airlocks. No worries, he can break in if necessary.

You're really adapting to the setting, huh? And I don't think you can force memes; part of their magic is that they just happen, you know?

I am a man who has had to learn to adapt to all my surroundings. Having the augment hasn't hurt, though. [His smile is lopsided.] And I have had a number of good teachers in that aspect.

Winn is one of the best. Teachers, especially when it comes to modern technology.

That I cannot argue with. He taught me a lot about the internet. Most of it is ... still rather strange, but I have enjoyed learning from him. [He paused, then said quietly.] You must miss him terribly, while he is sleeping.

[ she glances at him, then back to Tyrion ]

Do you want to get something to drink?

[And now, Tyrion's eyebrows rose together.]

I ... yes. Certainly. [Pause. Manners, ser.] Thank you, kindly.

I was just stopping into check on him but you've got that under control.

[ she'll hold the door open for him ]

[He walks out, letting her close the door behind him. One corner of his mouth lifts in a wry, slightly embarrassed look.]

He would do the same for any of us.

He has, actually, for me. Obviously I don't remember it, and it was at home, but they filled me in.

Yes, that sounds just like Winn. [One corner of his mouth lifted at that, before he gave her a curious look.] Were you sick or just ... unconscious, like he is?

I was attacked, actually. By an alien parasite that attached itself to my chest and constructed a dream world that it thought I wanted to live in.

... How absolutely terrifying. [Tyrion looked up at her, alarmed.] I am never fond of anything playing around in my mind. I am glad that you haven't lived through that yet -- or at least when you do, that you shall make it through the other side.

This place kind of reminds me of it sometimes.

It is a very pretty prison ... but it is still a prison. Whether we are unfortunate enough to be trapped in dreams, or just on these ships.

At least we are in good company, though. There is no one else I would rather be trapped in another galaxy with.

I have my moments of complimentary behavior, yes .. and it doesn't make it any less true.

[He quirked up one corner of his mouth.] So what are we drinking?

Water? Juice? I'm not sure what our liquor stores are like here right now but I can probably scrounge something.

Juice will be perfectly lovely, thank you. [If it wasn't fermented, at least he could enjoy the taste.]

So what else have you been up to?

[tallasaking]

Ohhhh all sorts of things. I like to keep busy, after all. I have just finished my first tank for my greenhouse project. I've gotten the bar fully stocked with employees and booze. I have at least three books I am currently reading.

What's the tank for?

[tallasaking]

To grow vegetables and even flowers aboard our own ships. It should, if my reading has been correct, help us with O2 levels as well.
