Having an engineering augment had seriously helped him with the ability to have some breathing space on the rather overly metal surfaces of the First Breath. Not that he didn't love his ship - honestly he spent as much time there chatting up Lily and Hawke as he did sleep.

Let's face it, Tyrion wasn't much for sleeping. So when he wasn't working on the Engineering of the ship (hour or two, tops), or his own projects (four to five depending on how late he stayed up), then managing the bar (eight hours), he still had time on his hands. So he would take that shuttle, and head out into the deep dark (don't think about it, do not even think about not having air), to visit.

If you are expecting a handsome - well at least charming - dwarf, do feel free to open your airlocks. No worries, he can break in if necessary.

So, how have you been, if not restless?

Quite well, actually. I had a lovely time on that planet.

Did you? I did, as well. Although I am not how comfortable I am with so many people knowing all my feelings.

[He smirked a little, as he thought about the moves in front of him.]

Only you know your feelings. It doesn't work as a complete read of a person.

[ He's not sure if that helps. He knows a lot of people had . . . issues with the planet. ]

That is very true. Once I learned how to block certain things ... it made it a great deal easier.

[He tipped his head.] You sound like you enjoyed it.

My powers are uncommon. Just the magnitude of what I can accomplish means I am the only one of my . . . kind.

So to meet people close to that was enlightening.

Mmmm. You know, I felt the same way when I heard of this place called Orzammar. Do you know it is entirely made of dwarves?

I had no idea. A whole city? Fascinating.

Yes, isn't it? An entire kingdom, in fact, ruled by a dwarf king. [Tyrion moved another piece.] It just goes to show you that everywhere in the universe ... there is someone who can relate to you.

It's a lovely thought. Though not often seen in practice.

How often do we actually see good thoughts set in practice?

Not as often as I would like. However, that doesn't mean we don't so it shouldn't be summarily dismissed either.

Someone has to be.

[ And he can handle it being him. ]

I suppose that is true. As it is hardly going to be me.

Because the only thing I have ever been truly positive about is that the world is bound to turn against me sooner or later.
