[ some of you may have noticed that winn has been uncharacteristically quiet for the past...16 days. he's not really sure how to address the elephant in the room - he knows these two weeks and change have been hard on the people he loves but for him it's like no time has passed and the dissonance is hard to bridge.

it's a good thing he has a not at all unhealthy coping mechanism set in place. ]

You know, if we're entertainment on a reality show, the least they can do is give us like a recap - you know your basic [ in a tv announcer impression ] here's what you missed on the Fleet - or - last week, on the young and the Drifting - [ he rubs the back of his head before shaking it ] Well, maybe talking about the 'least they can do' isn't such a great plan...first order of business - what'd I miss? I believe it's the only scientific paper we have on the network, which is something of a shame in my opinion.

I agree wholeheartedly. there's a lot of independent research being conducted on board, it'd be good to have some sort of publishing and discussion platform.

[ even if he'll never publish because escape related research should be kept as hidden as possible from the eyes of their overlords. ]

I did see something a short time ago about a series of lectures.

Discussion might be profitable, however. Perhaps we could make it a habit to meet during times of deep space travel so as to draw the largest number of participants?

the largest number of participants won't necessarily be great for discussions, too many voices could mean no one gets heard. but we can definitely use discovery 1 for meetups, however large they end up being.

I'm afraid I missed the call for it. Still, it should be education in more than one aspect.

I'd like that, I think. The differences in baseline science alone between different timelines ought to spark some interesting discussions.

we can set up some sort of weekly meetings for the scientists on board? a science club of sorts?

I'd like that. I'll have to think on a subject, of course, and practice with someone so it won't go entirely over the audience's head.

I'd be happy to play audience, and idk if you know charles but he agreed to help anyone who wants it with their lecturing skills. just poke me whenever you're ready.

I don't know that a doctorate in genetics makes him the type of audience I'd have to "dumb down" for, but I suppose it couldn't hurt.

Of course. Have you spoken with Wanda and Bucky? They have both recently visited my home for the same amount of time as well.

no, I haven't. were they also in a coma? were you all in one at the same time?

Wanda was in a deep sleep for several weeks, yes. Bucky was knocked out for a brief time and at the same time as myself.

would they be open to talking about their experiences?

[ he hasn't done the whole contact a new person just to discuss things thing, yet. he's a little apprehensive, basically everyone in the fleet can kick his ass. ]

Possibly. Though if they didn't respond to your questionnaire, possibly not. It's difficult for me to judge how others may react at times.

you know them, don't you? do you think they'd react badly to being asked?

If you make it clear you're interested from a position of understanding why this happens to us rather than prying for personal details, I think it would go over well enough.
