[ some of you may have noticed that winn has been uncharacteristically quiet for the past...16 days. he's not really sure how to address the elephant in the room - he knows these two weeks and change have been hard on the people he loves but for him it's like no time has passed and the dissonance is hard to bridge.

it's a good thing he has a not at all unhealthy coping mechanism set in place. ]

You know, if we're entertainment on a reality show, the least they can do is give us like a recap - you know your basic [ in a tv announcer impression ] here's what you missed on the Fleet - or - last week, on the young and the Drifting - [ he rubs the back of his head before shaking it ] Well, maybe talking about the 'least they can do' isn't such a great plan...first order of business - what'd I miss? Hey - you made good time. Must've been really bored -

[ Maglor smiles as he disembarkes and shakes his head ]

You are being kind - I know I am a terrible pilot of these... things. [ He scowls a little at the shuttles ]

I am fortunate that the implants make it so I cannot get lost!

Trust me - it was good time for me.

[ see, he takes an extra few minutes to steel himself to get on those shuttles, unless there's an emergency going on. ]

Yeah, thank god for the implants. [ so dry. yeah, they probably save their lives in a million different ways each day, but they also endanger them, ruin them, control them. ]

So, you want the grand tour of the Tourist?

Indeed. [ Maglor is equally dry, but he brightens at the suggestion ]

Alright well - this is the cargo hold, it's pretty boring so, let's move on. Do you know anyone else on the ship?

Hm, only your captain, I think - James Kirk, yes? He is a good Man, and has been kind to me.

[ Maglor chuckles at the note about the cargo hold, and follows Winn ]

Yeah. [ he nods ] He's one of the best.

[ his affection and admiration for his captain are completely obvious. jim has won him over completely, he would follow his captain into the mouth of hell (complaining the whole way, but he'll still go!). ]

I can show you his room, if you wanna say hi while you're here. Anyway - to your right is a - wall - still a wall - there we go! The kitchen. Can I offer you some refreshments?

[ Maglor smiles and shakes his head ]

Only if he is not busy, eh? I do not want to impose. [ A chuckle greets the offer ]

Hm, well, vaguely tea tasting water is better than nothing, I suppose. [ Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay the food machinges B[ ]

Space coffee's starting to grow on me, personally. But that might be my taste buds dying.

[ he pours him a cup of tea all the same, and hands it to him ]

I sincerely hope that your Captain's folk invented better ways of providing food, or I cannot imagine how anyone copes.

[ Maglor accpets the tea gratefully all the same himself ]

Surely there must be a way to procure actual food!

We still got supplies from the planet - your ship didn't stock up?

I bought things for myself - I am sure others did also, but is there a way to solve this? [ He indicates his cup thoughtfully ] I cannot say I have much fondness for the... slop the machines provide.

You know what -- do you know Hank McCoy? He's on the Blameless - and he managed to make lab-manufactured ice cream. I bet he can improve on the quality of the tea -

Hm, I do not - but I will seek him out, and ask! Thank you, Winn. It seems strange that the ships do not themselves provide better food, considering that we are supposed to be... "entertaining" our vieweres. Unless our reactions to the poor fare are entertaining, I suppose.

I think it's more our reactions when we get something better - I dunno about you but I had eating fests practically every day I was awake on that planet.

[ Maglor chuckles softly. ]

Hm, a good point. Well - I can certainly cook, so that is also an option, I suppose, to work out if there is enough in the kitchens to actually cook.

You should see the stuff Pinkie Pie makes with what she's got - it's freaking amazing.
