[ some of you may have noticed that winn has been uncharacteristically quiet for the past...16 days. he's not really sure how to address the elephant in the room - he knows these two weeks and change have been hard on the people he loves but for him it's like no time has passed and the dissonance is hard to bridge.

it's a good thing he has a not at all unhealthy coping mechanism set in place. ]

You know, if we're entertainment on a reality show, the least they can do is give us like a recap - you know your basic [ in a tv announcer impression ] here's what you missed on the Fleet - or - last week, on the young and the Drifting - [ he rubs the back of his head before shaking it ] Well, maybe talking about the 'least they can do' isn't such a great plan...first order of business - what'd I miss? They are wolves of a kind, so the story tell, not very large here, so I've heard and loyal to a fault to their Stark companions.

[ she's telling him about wolves on a spaceship, but all he can focus on is that she doesn't find james to be the epitome of manliness and attractiveness. sure, he loses some of his appeal on paper because she's not exposed to his massive frame but still - the guy is ridiculously photogenic. ]

-- Is it very common for young men to go about entirely without hair in your world?

[ it's just unthinkable. One of Loras' finest trait is his hair. She gives the picture another look ]

I find it very odd. I do not think I would care to marry a man with no hair at such a young age.

[ oh, it's because she's unused to the hair. yeah, that makes more sense. ]

Yeah, it's a style. Guess it just takes getting used to.

Truly? The most infamous men in my realm without a hair to his name is the Master of Whispers at King's Landing, lord Varys and he is a eunuch.

[ it's a good thing they're not eating or drinking because he's choking on air here. much as he's better with james now, he still has issues with the guy, petty jealous issues, and margaery is bringing those feelings a whole lot of joy right now. ]

I, I'm pretty sure, yeah. He's just bald, lots of people are, in my world.

[ sorry, he's a little stuck here, he can't get over it. it's - james. he's like. cover page material. and margaery's called him handsome when he's -- selling the magazine material. ]

No, definitely not - [ he runs a hand through his hair, that's one of his best features! and kitty loves to play with it. ] me and my hair are together for life. [ he hopes so, he really doesn't see himself pulling off the bald look. ] Though I wouldn't mind shortening it a little it's starting to get outta hand...

No, not quite but then, we women are quite different. Some of us would find tall - bald men handsome and others do not.

Shortening it? I can help, if you wish. I'd do that quite a lot for Loras and his hair is much longer.

I'm just more used to them falling under the - former, category.

[ as in this is the first time he's ever run into this kind of reaction. oh margaery, such a great sister. ]

Truly? If women all seem to favor one kind of a man in your world, I have to say, they must be rather dull. I should like to think each woman has a different sort of an ideal man in her mind.

They -- do it's just that James seems to fit...most of them.

[ frowning a little - wait - did what he say just make sense? he's not sure. either way the ideal is never him, that he's pretty sure of. ]
