Hey hey HEY, everybody! It's the start of a new month, and we've had a GREAT time on this planet so far, especially with all this yummy real food! Sooo Kitty and I have been planning a pizza party!

Um, right. So, you should come. I guess. [She doesn't know how to do group invites with ponies. What is life?]

We'll be in this HUGE clearing at THESE coordinates, so bring some smiles, your stomach, and maybe a side dish or snacks if you want too! We'll see you there! And Wrath: we've got chimmy cherry chongas~!

We had to use a few substitutes, but it's still pizza, so you know today's priority. Also a good time to check it out if you've never heard of it.

[Local vendors have been generous enough to loan the use of their ovens and some long wooden tables for the clearing. Sure enough, there's dozens of pies, plain or topped with meat or vegetables or both. There's also jugs and jugs of fruit juices and lemonade and punch, and an equally bountiful dessert table including apple tarts, cakes, donuts, and yes, chimmy cherry chongas. And the best part is there's not a single gel-based ingredient in sight. Feel free to add something to the bounty or just come in, grab a slice, and enjoy!]

[ all good's not exactly the phrase he'd use - it's pretty embarrassing. but he focuses on figuring out if she's kidding or if her powers would actually enable her to do that - if she can air walk, why not air carry? she may not be a kryptonian, but her one power is pretty hand useful. ]

Gotta love dating a superhero.

[She definitely can't. It was a joke. But since he didn't act put out by the suggestion she also won't get weird about the "superhero" title.] You better. I spent all morning asking Pinkie if the pizzas were ready. Hard work! [She helped.]

All morning? Your poor mouth must be exhausted.

[ lightly running his thumb across her lips with a smile before leaning in for a gentle kiss.

he's wildly overcompensating, but it's his best way to keep his mind focused and clear of anything that shouldn't be there at a pizza party thrown mainly for him by his girlfriend and his pink pony friend. ]

It is! And then I had to eat pizza and kiss my boyfriend and everything with it. [Nuzzling.

If it makes him feel any better she's overcompensating some too. She doesn't want him to realize just how upset she'd been while he was out. She doesn't want him feeling guilty over things he couldn't control.]

Well if you need to rest it, I'm ready to step in - just answer everything with 'I love my boyfriend', right?

[Almost like winning is in the name.]

Oh, definitely doesn't sound like a trick. [Kissing again despite almost certain lip fatigue.] But I do love my boyfriend.

[ those lips of hers deserve a medal. ]

Oh that's good news - see he's been afraid to tell you, in case it's unreciprocated, but he loves you too.

He should be brave. He's dating a pretty tough lady who loves him a whole lot.

Yeah - courage? Not his strong suit. He could probably make a strong suit though, no problem -

He might surprise himself. [Kissing his cheek.]

[ he feels a mixture of pride and concern at that - he's happy and proud that she thinks he's capable of more, of good things...but what if he's not? he's never going to be the guy who charges into danger, he's never going to be the warrior, and if that's who she thinks he'll turn into, who she expects him to ultimately be, then he's just going to turn into a massive disappointment. ]

Saying 'stranger things have happened' takes on a whole new meaning when you do it in the middle of a pizza party orchestrated in part by a pink talking pony on a foreign inhabited planet.

[The kiss is followed by a nuzzle and she's feeling his mix of good and bad at that.] Don't stress so much on my account. [He doesn't have powers or training. She thinks he's brave to get as involved as he does. And for facing his fear of heights so much.]

This is decently strange even for me.

I don't think I know how to deal with someone who doesn't find this decently strange -

[ he smiles, but still stresses. he doesn't have powers or training. powers, he can't do anything about. training - he could, but he won't. it's not who he is, and while there are plenty of parts of himself he wants to change, that just isn't one of them. fighting means saving people, yes, but it also means hurting people and he doesn't want to go anywhere near that. just learning to defend himself with jim is a huge step for him, one he had to be pushed into taking by a tragedy. at the end of the day - this isn't about what he can do, it's about who he is. he's a fighter, maybe, but not a warrior. ]

[She loves who he is, and while she would be supportive if he wanted more training and maybe a little relieved, she doesn't see it as a failing if he doesn't.]

What about the ponies? They're probably on board with this level of strange.

They're talking baking ponies. They can be weirded out by us in this scenario.

That's true. Every time I start talking tech with people they kinda look at me like my head just burst into flames.
