[ He's currently in his little office, sitting at the desk. He's got the video on--he doesn't look amused. ]

...Would someone care to explain this? [ He turns his device so that the camera is facing his desk. Piled on it are boxes and boxes and small pocket-packets of tissue paper, all brightly wrapped in neon blue with yellow lettering: MADAME CYCLOPS ISSUE TISSUES. ] ...Because I don't find it funny in the least bit.

If someone thinks this will cheer me up... [ He trails off, unable to finish the sentence. Instead, a foot is seen gently nudging some of the tissues away and to the side of the desk.]

...I was right the first time. This is hell.

No. [ A lie, if he must be honest, but if he can help it... he doesn't want people knowing that even though he'd been brought back to life, his illness hasn't disappeared. Whatever it is. ] No...

[ He's got the video facing him again. He idly picks up a tissue from one of the boxes. They're a faint blue with a darker blue eye print on them. ]

[ Hmm. ]

Then you wouldn't mind me checking up on you, just to see.

There's no need for that, Kenobi-san. [ You can almost hear the faint whine of 'I'm an adult so I can take care of myself' in there. ]

[ ...Of course, he's not going to out right try and stop you, either. ]

For my peace of mind, then.

[ And with that he closes his connection, already on his way. ]

[ Well, he supposes he had no other choice. Itachi merely straightens up the mass piles of tissues on his desk. Perhaps he'll distribute them to the other personnel individuals who have decided to take up counseling. He does, though, shove one of the individual packets into his pocket, before heading on over to where the shuttles unload. ]

[ When he arrives, he waits patiently, making sure to remain looking as composed as possible. Maybe it's the only thing he's good at. ]

[ He's seen this kind of behavior before. Thankfully, the Force is the one Obi-Wan truly listens to for cues. ]

You're certainly ill with something.

Kenobi-san. [ He greeted him, but glanced to the side when he mentioned he was in fact, ill. ]

...You're mistaken. Unless, you're implying I'm suffering from a broken heart.

I don't think broken hearts make one suffer so greatly.

[ He surveys Itachi. ] The Force tells me there's something wrong with your body. Am I wrong?

The Force? [ He attempted to side-step the inquiry about what was wrong with him. His body took on a slightly guarded position--more tense. ] ...And that is?

It is the life force that surrounds us and all living creatures.

[ Among other things, but Obi-Wan is fairly tired of giving a longer explanation. ]

So what's the matter?

[ Well, he tried to avoid it... but... ]

...I don't know. [ Which was true. He wasn't sure what it was. Other than he coughed, and blood came up, and it hurt... that was all he knew. ] I've had it for some time, now.

Sasuke never knew. [ Which was wrong--Sasuke found out, but only after he had died. ] ...No one does. I prefer it that way.

[ Sasuke. His heart clenches. ]

Simply because it's a preference doesn't make it better. Why doesn't he know?

That's... a difficult question to answer. [ He's still not sure how much this guy knows about him from Sasuke. What does he say? What can he say? ]

He just doesn't.

[ Obi-Wan sighs. ]

I think he'd prefer to know. No matter what it entails.

[ He pauses, eyeing the other man as id he just told a tasteless joke. ]

It's a bit late for that, now.

Is it? He could come back.

[ Obi-Wan holds that faint hope. ]
