That's how this works? We travel to new planets every few weeks? What are they like?

[Sadly, foxes are not the most innocent of animals either.]

Since I've been here, we've been to a dust-covered moon, an ice planet, a large city that acted like an intergalactic trading station, a toxic moon, and the hand-holding planet.

There was an entire month we were all on the Marsiva-- the ship you woke up on.

[So there's variety. In a way she's disappointed, she liked the forests on the hand-holding planet. The place she was previously didn't have them.]

I see. And I'm guessing there is no way for us to simply leave all this nonsense? Go back to where we were before?

Not so far as we can tell. The Atroma control all of that. They control who stays and who disappears. Staying on the planets doesn't seem to be an option, either.

[That's what she expects. Still she doesn't look too pleased at this information, her ears flattening.]

Fantastic. Do you know how many humans are involved in this? Nonhumans?

There is an entire fleet of ships. There are eighteen in total, including the Heron. Each has a crew of between six and ten, though most have a capacity for twelve. Humans and non-humans are mixed throughout.

[ No one is pleased about the brain-hacking death machine in their head. ]

That's... fairly specific.

[She was expecting 'most people are human' or 'most people are nonhuman', honestly.]

How do the politics work around here? Is there anyone deciding on rules or do you all just go about your business and not think about it?

Most ships take care of their own. Each has a captain and first mate. Unless it is a matter that involves other ships, things tend to stay within their own ship.

That's encouraging. [Councils and rulemakers tend to turn into witch hunts, in her experience.]

How do you run this place, then?

As long as no one's causing trouble, I don't get involved in everyone's business.

[ Now, that's not to say he's not paying attention to the comings and goings of his crew. He just wants a peaceful ship. ]

Good to hear. I tend to keep to myself.

[She gestures with a paw at the vermin.]

Aside from going after those.

[ He raises his right hand in a surrendering motion. ]

I'll leave you to it, then.

Alright.

[She hopes that he'll actually live up to that. Actions speak louder than words.

She picks up the vermin again, turning to head to her room to snack on it.]
