Who: Loki
Broadcast: Video to everyone
Action: Iskaulit
When: Now!
As I have said I would, I shall speak of magics. Or rather the basics of one particular form of magic. Attend well.
[Loki has set up the video in his gym, since it has sufficient space and mirrors.]
What mortals oft times call magic is but science of a higher sort than they have capacity to comprehend. All is but working change upon the ordered laws of the universe with strength of will and an understanding of how and what to manipulate.
Light shall be our example. [Because everyone already knows he can do illusions. This is giving nothing away, really, because knowing the mechanics of what he does won't make it less impressive.]
Light is a substance in constant flux of state. It exists simultaneously in many forms until it is directed one way or another.
[He begins to write equations in the air with light, his handwriting precise and very angular, explaining as he goes. People who are very up in their mathematics and quantum physics will be able to recognize portions describing the wave-particle duality of light, though Loki seems to be describing a great many quantum states beyond that.]
Understanding this, one might manipulate the light that exists in this room to reflect far differently, or refract in new ways.
[He goes through a series of demonstrations, first building a delicate model of a horse from light that runs, then revealing an invisible object and describing mathematically the illusion that allows light to seem to pass through something solid. Then step by step, he builds the room into a section of forest in Alfheim, which seems to stretch on into the misty distance despite the apparent dimensions of the former room.
It's quite a show, but perhaps more interesting is his expression as he works through all of this. He's genuinely enjoying himself, perhaps the most relaxed most people have ever seen him.]
And the mechanism of all of this?
[He smiles remembering the day he had been taught this by Frigga.] We are made of the same stuff as light. We must only remember and become part of it once more.
[And with that, he seems to disintegrate into green and gold miss. The video ends.
But he's around his place in the Iskaulit if anyone wishes to seek him out, or can be called upon for questions. And later? Buy him a drink at Crowley's bar.]

action;
action;
[He knew Ren had been trying to goad him into a fight with that comment but it had amused him more than anything really after his initial anger.
This time he did down the rest of his glass before glancing over at Loki]
Are you buying drinks at least?
action;
And if you want me to buy you a drink, you shall have to smile more prettily than that.
action;
[He raised an eyebrow, smirking slight with amusement.]
That's all? Very generous but I believe I will decline.
action;
Mmm, incapable of it, yes?
action;
[He raised his eyebrows at that, not that he had believed Loki was a god anyway.]
I'm not going to take that as a challenge. You may even be right about that.
action;
Oh, I know I am right about that.
action;
Thankfully I don't think you're the type to tell me I should smile more often at least.
action;
What smiles I crave, I make for myself.
action;
He did finish off the glass of whisky though.]
With how charming you are, I assume?
action;
[He rolls his fingers through the air, and then metal glints between them. He sets the dagger down on the bar tap and sets it spinning with a light tap of his finger.]
With the point of a dagger.
action;
[He watched the dagger spun for a moment before looking up at Loki.]
Are you going to give me a demonstration then?
action;
[He stops the dagger and rolls it back into his hand; it vanishes.]
Certainly not. You're far too funny alive.
action;
He blinked when the dagger simply vanished before shaking his head.]
I'm glad I could entertain you. Besides, I think there would be some here would be disappointed if they didn't get the chance to kill me first.
action;
But fools do abound.
action;
So it seems.
Well, I would love to stay and chat about my issues with my parents or your magic tricks but I should get back to what I have to work on.
action;
Oh, I wonder. Is it busy-work to keep yourself from going mad, or busy-work that gives you the illusion you will have again the power you borrowed like a cloak?
action;
He was even starting to miss having to deal with Kylo Ren.
And if Ren did arrive Hux could shove him in Loki's direction and watch what would no doubt be an entertaining encounter.]
I have a chance to work on some of my projects, yes, that perhaps is busy work but it's still productive.
action;
Anything terribly interesting?
action;
Very fascinating top secret classified projects. [He grinned as he adjusted the cuff off his uniform before putting his coat over his shoulders.] To conquer the galaxy, naturally.
[Which despite his sarcastic tone, wasn't too far off the mark. Sometimes superweapons were just fun.]
