[Daenerys addressed the network, still looking a little worn around the edges despite her time asleep. She felt as if she hadn't moved from her bunk in days. In her hands rests the device, pointed towards her face and atop her shoulders rests one lazily dozing dragon. Drogon's black scales had a bit of a copper and red glint to them in the lights cast about her room, his eyes were closed and his wings were curled in close to him. His clawed hands clung to her shoulder while his feet dangled over her back, hidden by her hair. Across the other shoulder, the very end of his tail could be seen. He was draped neatly around her neck where he could rest comfortably.]

I apologize to anyone who may have been inconvenienced by my mishap. My absence from was not intended, though I have no idea how long exactly I was asleep. This is my first time experiencing such a state. Should anyone from the other ships wish to brief me I can be found at my post aboard the Caprine.

[A smile and she reaches with one hand to stroke the end of Drogon's tail. His wings fluttered, sensing the disturbance.]

And this is Drogon. He is one of the dragons whom I call my children, born of a funeral pyre originally, but reborn and returned to me by the Tree that gave us gifts. Perhaps some day Drogon's brothers will join us but for now he is all that remains to me of my home.

[Drogon's hands stretched sleepily and in his attempt to awaken he fell clean from his perch on her shoulder and down her back. With a loud raptor-like shriek, Drogon shot into the air, out of the video's view and out of sight somewhere above Dany's head. He wasn't happy to have been woken up. Thanks for that, Mom. :|]

Lord Tyrion, if you wish to meet him in person, you are welcome to at your earliest convenience, though I don't know that he'll be quite ready to receive guests beyond yourself. He's still adjusting to the ship, I think.

[Another loud screech and Drogon dive bombed back into view, landing in a heap in her lap. Looking down, Dany coos at him, trying to console him.]

Shh, shh... you're with me... you're just fine, sweetling.

[She smiles, bringing her gaze back to the device.]

Be prepared for him to be a bit difficult. He is a child, after all.

Action

[The Caprine crew can find their Captain up and about, checking on various stations throughout the ship and finally stopping in awe of their new gardens. The lemon tree in particular received her adoration. She was excited to be able to harvest it and perhaps task Qing with making lemon cakes to send to one Sansa Stark as a bit of a peace offering between her and the girl and her brothers.

Drogon alternated between remaining perched on her shoulder, tucked beneath an arm, or flying a few inches beside her head. He made soft hissing and rasping noises on occasion, not displeasured at the moment into full on screeching. Having him around made her smile more brightly, her step more upbeat. If anyone in the crew or visiting the ship should happen upon her they would be greeted by him as well.]

Drogon, sweetling, don't wander too far...

[Not an easy command to follow for a baby dragon in a new place.]

[ Hey, Dany. You missed out on Theon's complete meltdown. Now you get the aftermath: one very exhausted looking Greyjoy who can't even try to look surprised by the dragon. It's been a long week. ]

Did he inherit his father's looks?

[ A real zinger, that one, but he has to force himself to throw in one of his trademark smirks. He's still getting back into the swing of being himself again. ]

[La de da de da, another day of filling in for Dany and trying to figure out what that weird device was. Feel free to interrupt her, Captain, and steel yourself for lots of hugs.]

[Adalwolfe's face appears in the video, much more well rested than the last time she saw him but also less exuberant. Make no mistake, he's still quite excited to see a relatively tame dragon (relative to the ones that try to eat him, anyway) but he's not going to take Daenerys aback again by being too forward. That would be rude.]

It seems you're taking waking up much better than Drogon.

His father happened to be a great wall of flames, so I believe the jury is out on that.

[Was that a joke? Was she joking with Theon 'I'm a Giant Tit' Greyjoy?]

I've heard comparisons between him and Balerion the Black Dread, though he's quite small to live up to that title at the moment.

[Oh, but if he was at full size again...]

Pinkie...? What are you doing?

[Dany stops behind the pony, Drogon dropping from her shoulder to crawl beneath the comm station and look up at Pinkie's work. Much to Dany's horror he let out a screech and a small puff of flame towards the Pink Pony. Someone clearly does not like that this one is messing with mother's station!!]

Drogon, no! Come.

You're awake ... [Relief flooded Tyrion's mis-matched eyes, and a smile stretched across his scarred face that was nothing less than brilliant. Of course, then, that was when he really saw the dragon - Drogon.]

By the Seven ... I ... I never thought. I never thought I would actually see one, this close. Well at least one that might set me on fire.

[So that's what a dragon looks like. Finn had been picturing it with feathers, like many flying reptavians, but those wings are pretty different from what he knows. When he's exercising in the cargo bay and she comes in to inspect the gardens, he finishes his reps and waves at her.]

Captain! You're awake again! Your egg hatched?

[Drogon screeched indignantly, flying back to rest on Daenerys' shoulder. He would allow a hug he supposes. Truly he's just being a spoiled brat today. It's his birthday, after all.]

Yes, yes! I'm so sorry about that. Drogon is- he's young. I suppose.

[Nope, totally not worried he's going to set something on fire. Not at all.]

Is something the matter with the Communications Terminal?

He's rather upset, I think.

[But still, she's beaming with joy. Oh, she'd missed him greatly.]

Thank you for the welcome. I seem to have missed the ships returning to the sky again.

I named him in honor of my husband. He was born of his funeral pyre.

[Which Leto probably knows a bit about that. Drogon lived up to his name well - he was as fierce and abrasive as his namesake, though he lacked the gentle touch that Drogo had often bestowed upon her.]

[Yup. That sure is a dragon, Riona! Dany isn't the least bit worried about him causing trouble yet - she hasn't taken him out of her room to test the waters, of course.]

Of course. He will hopefully become my shadow, but if he chooses to explore, I won't stop him - save for that.

[He'll probably go wherever the heck all that dinosaur meat is.]

I did for a time. I can't say I feel any more refreshed than I was before, but Drogon being with me now has brightened things somewhat.

I am, and it seems I've some catching up to do. It can wait, for the moment. I'll admit I'm savoring things a bit.

[Time with Drogon? It was irreplaceable. She'd missed him terribly and now that he was here, she felt slightly more whole.]

He's too small for setting you completely on fire, but he could still cause injury. I don't think he'll be too much trouble, but I want to be cautious.

[Meanwhile Drogon is currently laying in her lap, trying to wrestle with her fingers. She won't let him bite them.]

[Drogon flew ahead, past Finn, to land among the plant life that now resided in their cargo bay. He made himself comfortable enough among the greenery, nesting low in the dirt.]

Yes, I'm sorry if my absence caused any trouble. I'm awake now and Drogon is acquainting himself with the ship.

[ It's enough of a joke that it urges him to smirk just a bit more. Good job, Dany. ]

I wouldn't make either comparison just yet. If a dragon can be the runt of its litter, he would be it.

[ He's not trying to be mean, alright. Just. Making conversation and pretending all is normal. ]

[Careful now; dragons that act like spoiled brats tend to grow into VERY big monsters. Like within a day. At least in her world.]

Oh, no, not anymore! I've just been making sure it stayed okay while you were asleep.

[ -- there is no sound. at least, none produced by her mouth. the video catches the quiet whir of a ship's engines. but the feed shows only sansa, awestruck.

There's nothing to be frightened of, Lady Sansa.

[She can't entirely promise that, but Drogon was calming down enough that he was much less menacing than his loud indignant screeching might lead one to believe.]

Dragons were alive for hundreds of years and while it's true my ancestors used them to conquer and feud, Drogon has no need of that here.

What did you both do?

[She's suspicious, worried that someone might have damaged it.]

I assure you, he is no runt. He is the largest dragon I have and at full grown size he was capable of burning men and cities to ashes.

[ Honestly, Dany? No. He's full of fear right now, but it's all very directed toward one target--or one person, rather. He would just really love to keep his teeth and fingers. At least when you're burned, you're burned whole. ]

Impressive. [ He doesn't look impressed. He mostly looks he's just sort of holding in there. ] But nothing men can't do on their own.

[ He's seen cities burnt to ash. It isn't pretty. ]
