[Have a wet doggy nose complete with a tuft of white fur visible on your video network, flooters. Naga is attempting to sniff at the device, occasionally blocking view completely before Korra can be heard shooing her away.]

Hi, everyone!

[Korra smiles sheepishly and runs a hand through her short hair at the back of her neck.]

I guess I missed some stuff? All I know is I was on the ship and I woke up and we're in orbit again and my room is covered in destroyed chew toys - so... thanks for taking care of Naga? Whoever you are. Anyway-!!

[To the meat of the information she's seeking!]

I was wondering, since this is my first time back in orbit since we left the planet: What do people do for fun when we're not visiting other places?

[A girl can only abuse the weights in the recreational room on the Wonderduck so many times, ok.]

Though... I guess since I'm the pilot it'd be probably be better if I was driving the ship, huh.

[Still!! She's glad to be awake and is at least trying to find people to hang out with. Sort of. If anyone wants to seek her out aboard the Wonderduck, they are welcome to do so.]

I swear she's not like that all the time... I think she's just been antsy for stuff to do and I was asleep so it made it worse.

[There were so many destroyed chew toys in her room... so many.]

[Wanda smiles and nods.]

To be honest, she was not too great a hassle. Though, you might want to keep an eye on her around the airlocks. There was some concern that she might try to learn the controls to get out.

[Wanda means it to sound like a colorful joke, yet there's a slight, discernible note of genuine concern in her tone.]

[What in the flamey-o did you get into, Naga?! Excuse her she's not as alarmed as she looks. She's seen those airlocks though and it was definitely dangerous.]

I am so glad you guys were looking out for her-!!

[Naga why]

Uhm... I'll try to teach her not to go near the controls...

[So, so ashamed... Naga don't scare her like this!!]

[Wanda nods and smiles. Seeing an opportunity to ask the question that's been dwelling on her mind since Jennifer first introduced her to Naga, she speaks up:]

So... a polar-bear dog... Are they a common domestic animal where you're from?

Oh! Not usually domestic, but Naga's special. She's like an animal guide, I guess.

[Which would make more sense when put into context of why she would have an animal guide.]

She's been my best friend since I can remember. We kind of found each other.

I see.

[Wanda's not so sure she actually, fully understands which makes her all the more curious.]

If you don't mind my asking, how did the two of you "find" each other?

I don't mind at all! Well... the short version is I snuck out of my house as a kid and got caught in a blizzard. She was separated from her pack so we kept warm together in an igloo that I made. It was... actually a lot of fun.

[She can't help but laugh a bit at the memory now, even if it had been frightening on all sides at the time.]

You stayed in an igloo with her? And this was before she was domesticated?

[Wanda briefly wonders how to ask this without seeming rude.]

Are wild polar-bear dogs typically so... accommodating?

Uhm - yeah... I guess. I mean I wasn't afraid of her, so it wasn't a problem?

[She was definitely too young to be deciding that, at the time.]

I think - well, I know we were supposed to meet. She's what you might call an animal guide. At least my teacher told me that. The Avatar before me, Aang, had one.

[Wanda is able to follow along with the general gist of what Korra is telling her. Any of the finer points that elude her she chalks up to differences in culture between her world and Korra's. After all, Korra did apparently come from a world where there exist such animals as "Polar-bear Dogs."]

Is that typical where you are from? For people to meet and gain animal guides?

Hmm...

[Hang on she's gotta think on this.]

Not really. I'm different because I'm the Avatar.

[Korra, not everyone knows what that is....]

I, uh- I help people! I protect them from spirits or people who cause trouble or try to hurt people.

"The Avatar?"

[She repeats the title. Testing how it sounds on her own tongue.]

And you protect people? All by yourself?

[The question isn't meant to come off like a question of Korra's ability, so much as... well, Wanda cannot even imagine doing the work of the Avengers all by herself.]

For the most part - yeah. Not always though. I have my friends with me to help! Or.. I did. Until I came here.

[Which is kind of sad, actually.]

[And that does make Wanda's heart go out to her a bit. She was lucky enough to have several of her friends here with her. Though, it had not always been that way. And remembering that time definitely gives her some sympathy towards Korra.]

And they too are "Avatars?"

[Again, trying to draw parallels in her head between the Avengers and Korra's world.]

Oh - no! That's just me. The Avatar is someone who can bend all four elements - earth, fire, air, and water. Their - my job is to maintain the balance between humans and spirits. So any human conflicts or spiritual conflicts tend to fall squarely into the list of things that are 'My Problem', you know?

Not that my friends aren't really cool, of course. Most of them are benders like me too - Mako bends Fire and Lightning, Bolin bends Earth and Lava, and Asami is a non-bender. She makes really amazing stuff though - she's an engineer.

[Honestly - without them she would have been completely alone. She knew often times being the Avatar could be very isolating. She'd felt it for a long time after she'd been hurt by Zaheer. They had brought her back from that brink.]

They're all really great people. What about you? What are your friends like?

[You know, since they're on the topic.]

[No, she doesn't quite know, but that doesn't make it clear to Wanda that Korra's job seems to come with a lot of weight and responsibility. And it was also clear that she cared very deeply for her friends. Her glowing praise for her friends brings a smile to Wanda's face. And now it was apparently her turn to gush a little.]

They're dorks.

[... or not?]

[But the smile growing on Wanda's face and the light in her eyes suggests there's more.]

I don't know about "bending elements," but my friends are super in their own ways. Strong, smart, fast, clever, confident, they each have their qualities they excel in. And all of them can pull off some pretty neat tricks. Together they are quite the force to be reckoned with.

[Most recent team drama aside.]

I'm lucky to have them.

[And she means it, too.]

They sound really special.

[She's smiling genuinely and does feel happy but deep down it does make her miss her friends a bit.]

My friends and I kind of have saved the world a few times... not to brag or anything.

[Okay, she wants to brag. Don't mind her.]

Without them I couldn't have done it. I think if they were here, we'd maybe even be able to find a way back home. I don't know how entirely possible that is, but we'd find a way.

[They made her feel like anything was possible, even if sometimes she didn't want to feel that way about herself.]

[Yeah, Wanda does not miss that obvious want to brag. But really, it just makes her smile more. Her tone as she responds is playful. She wants to brag some too clearly.]

We've saved the world a few times, too.

[A pause before she adds.]

Not to brag or anything.

[She then adds more sympathetically.]

I am sorry that your friends are not here then. It sounds like we could really use them.

Yeah... me too. But- maybe... maybe this place isn't all bad.

[See? She's already making a new friend.]

I think it'd be worse having my friends here and just... still being totally useless on how to get out of here. I'd want to help - I want to help now.
