[Kitty was not expecting a surprise birthday party because while it is the date of her birth, her last birthday was about seven months ago because abductions that can happen from any time make things weird. And then there's also the part where Winn got attacked by Sascha and she and Winn had their first significant fight and things have been on the rough side. Of course, with people like Winn and Pinkie Pie in her life she really should have known better.

So, here we are on The Tourist with dancing in the cargo hold. Winn's phone is playing mustic amplified by Cisco's speakers. There are snacks, beverages, and cake in the kitchen. With Pinkie Pie helping out and some of the stores of food they built up from the time on the hand holding planet you can expect better-than-spacefood quality. And if you need more privacy, Winn opened his room up, but he did include a sign that says no making out complete with a disappointed frowny face, so you would never! Probably.

Enjoy the party! Kitty is turning 20 years and 7 months today? Yeah, there may be another birthday party for her coming up. She's probably doomed to have two per year. Of course you have to get gifts for both!]

Kitty I have been unlucky in love three times now. I believe stretching it to a fourth should simply be me admitting that I am not meant for this sort of thing.

[She really doesn't think she holds any such place among them. Willful ignorance maybe. It's safer for their friendship that way. But how could she forget the evil whore? She doesn't for long. It clicks into place later almost as if she was skimming brackets. Or just going back through their long talk about their pasts.]

My husband, Reid, and I guess I counted Tyki in there. [She wishes she could dismiss him. She hadn't meant for it to be anything substantial and sometimes she writes it off like it wasn't. But in these simple moments when she counts the men she loved he gets a number. If it wasn't love it was still...something significant. Maybe twisted and perverse. But significant.] Winn makes four. [Tyrion pressed his mouth into a faint smile, tipping his head at her with some amusement.] We have the luck, don't we? Bad luck, but still. The kind of luck that puts all sorts of people into our path. Good, bad, and otherwise.

I think most of those people were a little bit of all of the above. Lots of good beginnings with bad endings. Maybe I should date an immortal to reduce the threat of endings. [She laughs softly, realizing what she just said.] Actually, I guess that "half" was an immortal. [She doesn't actually want to date anyone other than Winn, mortal or not.]

Now why would you want to do that to some poor immortal soul, who would be wandering around by themselves forever alone, pining over you? That's just cruel, Kitty. [Tyrion said with a mock 'for-shame' tone.]

Oh yes, they will absolutely be pining. Like you would not believe.

Wow. You are very results oriented. Sometimes it's just about the journey. [But she does feel for him. She doesn't like being alone and she hasn't been long and the times she has were mostly by choice. Even when Reid left her it was a choice to try and get back with him instead of finding someone new. There were interested parties.]

I would say that you're biased because you are so very fond of your Lannister, as I am the only Lannister you are ever going to have. However ... you can have all my moods, if you really want them. I will warn you later that you agreed to it, though.
