Who: Hux and Phasma
Broadcast: None
Action: Cirrusa
When: August 15th
[There was no need to send a message as he knew they both would seek somewhere they could get lost in a crowd to meet, making it difficult for anyone to follow them or overhear what they were discussing.
Things were going well so far. To those who knew him well would recognize the light in his blue eyes, the way he loosely grasped his hands behind his back, and the way his lips kept twitching upward showed just how pleased he was at the moment. He hadn't been so excited since Starkiller had fired successfully and they confirmed the Hosnian planets had been destroyed.
So he sought out the busiest street and waited during seemed to be early evening on the moon. Thankfully, he didn't need to wait long before he was falling into step behind her.]

[She follows her instincts and training, and it isn't long before she's apparently located the street he'd been hiding out on as he steps up behind her. She doesn't turn when she hears him, instead continues to walk forward, searching for an appropriate corner to talk securely in.]
Yes, we do. I assume you saw my post? [If there's one person she wanted to see through her anonymity, it was Hux.]

Kirk- he's a member of a Federation which, from how he described it, is even more useless than the Republic was in keeping order in their galaxy. What was your impression of him?
[He glanced at her as they found a side street. It was dark and he nearly stumbled over something but at least they would hear anyone trying to follow them.]
Who else stood out to you?

He is foolish and persistent, which makes him dangerous. [She leads Hux down a little side ally where they will be at from prying eyes and finally turns to face him. She can immediately tell he is carrying some good news.]
There were two conversations from own sources of interest, once of which a potential ally. [She queues up her device and shows him these two conversations.]

Her name is Barriss Offee and she's a Jedi of the Old Republic.
[He paused as he glanced over at Phasma and his voice is barely controlled. They both knew of Order 66 and the Jedi Purge as it was well known galactic history, included in the history taught by the First Order.
He wasn't sure where to start, honestly.]
I've spoken to her actually and I have every confidence she will be a valuable ally in the fleet. She understands the need for order, stability, and she agreed that it was necessary for the Republic, the Senate, and even the Jedi to be eliminated in the process.
[He's really trying to keep his tone controlled but the emotion is still breaking through here and there.]
She understands why we needed to destroy the Hosnian System and sweep the Republic away.

[Phasma watches him, definitely taking in his eagerness as a good sign about Offee. It's not a common sight for him to be this worked up. She'd be tempted to smile in response but she had little reason to do so while the rest of their situation was so precarious.]
That is encouraging to hear. I suggest you continue to cultivate a rapport with her. Meanwhile, I will see if I can wear Kirk down. We need allies as much as we need to dishearten our enemies.
[So that's a good start to things, at least.]

[See why he's so thrilled? They were still outnumbered but a Jedi such as Barriss on their side was a definite advantage.]
My goal is to continue our alliance and further friction in the Jedi ranks. Without the support of the Jedi the Resistance and Republic sympathizers won't have protection to turn to.
[He gave a nod in agreement.]
I'll leave Kirk to you then. I need to see what the Resistance pilot is doing, he's been silent as of late but I don't think we'll be rid of him that easily.
no subject
[Still, she didn't think it would be as easy as that.] They may not have the support of their own, but they may find they may find themselves allies of their own from the population here, if the discussions in my post were any indications. I don't think we should rule out the likelihood of a foreign force acting on their behalf.

[He took out his datapad, he had been keeping notes on everyone he had met for future reference. He tilted the screen so she could seen the screen with all the notes he had made of his shipmates and other individuals he's encountered such as Ahsoka, Erik, and Loki.]
These are individuals I've flagged as current or potential allies to the Resistance or who could become threats to us in the future. Is there anyone else you've encountered who could pose a threat?
no subject
[She's ruled out most of her crew as just being useless and annoying.]
no subject
[He tucked his datapad away in one of his pockets, looking up at her.]
While we're here, I suggest we meet weekly until the fleet leaves for updates then. It will allow us to see who is on other ships and flag any more potential allies or threats. And if Ren shows up, we'll need to regroup quickly.
[No need to explain why.]
no subject
Agreed. Have you thought about aligning with a faction? It might benefit us to choose differing ones for a greater variety of goods.
no subject
He didn't miss the disdain but he couldn't blame her for it in the least.]
I wanted to make use of Spirit's databanks while I could so that's where I will go. We should make a list of what we may need so we can see what we can get from each fraction then.
no subject
[A beat,] I would make a note of fleet members drawn to Savvy.
no subject
[He paused for a moment, thoughtful before looking at her.] Update in a week then unless there is anything more we need to discuss?
We can meet sooner if there are any pressing developments, the same place.

How are you managing with your crew?
no subject
[It still baffled him. Being limited to one planet sounded awful.] The captain seems to know little about the ship itself and has little to no experience in his current position. They seem to know of the Hosnian System which has made things somewhat tense.
[He wasn't really bothered by their disapproval, he was secure in the knowledge that most of the galaxy wanted his head at this point anyway. It was only annoying to have to deal with it in close quarters every day.]
And what of your crew?
no subject
[Even more concerning, though.] If they were so secluded in their own world, it must be that they learned about the Hosnian event from someone of rebellion leaning. [It's not really a concern of hers who, precisely, told them, but how they might be able to spin that information to their advantage. Not being her ship, however, and having to keep a low profile doesn't give her a lot of options; Hux's crew she leaves up to him but she will mull over the information he passes on to her.]
[At mention of her own crew she sighs and squeezes the bridge of her nose in exasperation.] Mere children. Teenagers, lacking maturity, grace, and all forms of obedience. They appear mostly human but the captain sports a pair of wings. I don't know what he is, but I don't trust him.
I am not entirely sure about their overall competence, but at least one of them has the strength to fight. [Yeah. Possibly she got into an altercation.]
no subject
[But then against the crew didn't seem to know better which was a source of frustration for Hux.] Yes, the Resistance pilot has been here longer than I have so I'm not surprised.
[He's not concerned either way but it's information for them to be aware of moving forward.
He nearly looked sympathetic at how exasperated she looked and considering her normal demeanor he could only imagine her frustration. At least the younger soldiers and officers in the First Order were well disciplined and if they weren't, they weren't around long.] A wise decision, we have to be even more cautious in determining who can be trusted here.
[Not that either of them were really in the habit of trusting just anyone anyway, especially those outside of the First Order.]
Tell me more about them. Any abilities other than fighting skills?
