[actionlog] OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUT

Who: Lilly and poor unfortunate souls
Broadcast: NONE I'M TOO MAD!!!
Action: E V E R Y W H E R E (...Wonderduck and Iskaulit especially, in bars, garden, and library... anywhere, really)
When: NOW

LILLY IS NOT HAPPY.

The moment she woke up on the Marsiva she was a wild angry mess of yelling and hissing and spitting. Because she was supposed to be with Makie, supposed to be around trees and forest and life and not strange metal worlds. Getting transferred to the Wonderduck is... not any better. She runs on all fours with a howl of indignant anger —

And anyone on the Wonderduck is forced to endure, uh...

A yelling, angry creature. If you expected your current engineer to be nice, I hate to tell you, um... She's throwing space food at the walls. Knocking down breakables. Kicking over chairs. Powder, floating through the air, coating her hair and her pajamas and the counters. She runs all throughout the ship before she manages to get to... the Iskaulit. How did she get here? When? Wouldn't you like to know.

You'll find a few things.

a.) You'll find yourself feeling... followed. There's nothing that you can see, but there's a distinct sound of... breathing? And then something darting past your peripheral, perhaps. If you're brave enough to go into the area containing the garden, you'll find the lights all off, as if someone couldn't stand them and their brightness.

And if you're especially unlucky, you can turn on the lights or use your communicator as a light to see this twitching figure:

IIIIEEIIIEEEEEE—!

b.) Or! Maybe you'll find her in angry mode. She's rushed into the library and one of the bars and is probably throwing around bottles and flinging books. What's she screaming the whole time? Maybe you'll even somehow find this strange, strange child on your ship. God have mercy on your soul if she figures the buttons out enough to rush around trying to find an exit. Or at least one can assume that's what she's looking for, because she keeps yelling angrily:

"OUT, OUT, OOOOUT!!"

... Maybe she, idk, wants out.

... Have fun.

Laura heard the child before she smelled her, which was a rarity for her and made her pause, her head tilted to the side, trying to place exactly where the screaming was. And what the screaming was, really. Human? She was almost certain it...yes. Okay. She could smell her now, coming from one of the bars. Accompanied by the distinct sound of breaking glass.

Hmm.

She'd come to the Iskaulit to wander a bit away from the confines of her own ship, and while some part of her had hoped she might find something to do, screaming people hadn't been on the list. Still, she couldn't simply walk away, right?

Which was why she found herself carefully, slowly stepping through the doorway into the bar, scanning the room as she went, listening for evidence of where the clearly disturbed person was.

The Iskaulit is a place Renart hasn't actually explored yet. She's done some planetside thing and she's confident she knows the Heron inside and out, but this large communal ship is entirely new to her. And that's why she's in her fox body - if the Heron had ventilation shafts for her to explore, chances are this ship does too.

Being followed isn't all that new to her, so she takes it in stride. It's entertaining at the very least, though only after she's wound up in the garden does she actively start to hunt down her stalker. Nose to the ground she sniffs along, not bothering with the light. Unnecessary when your nose and ears are as good as hers, plus the fact that the light switch is a little too high for her to reach.

When she reaches the source of the scent she just stops, tail flicking slightly. Okay, someone has misplaced a small child, does that happen often around here?

B for Bar

Goddammit, child, she was only in the kitchen for a minute.

The sound of a bottle breaking brings her back out fast enough, and she's kind of relieved it's a customer's bottle (because bought and paid for already, HAH) but Nami vaults the bar, catching her arm before she can throw a second. Or get a customer mad at her. "HEY--!"

...three seconds later, the penny drops and she realises she knows this kid. It's been a while.

"Lilly?"
namisan: (mine B|)

[personal profile] namisan 2016-08-21 09:53 am (UTC)(link)
Nami snatches her hand back swiftly enough, though she gives Lilly such a look. "Don't spit on me and I won't touch you. And don't break things! When did you get here?"
girlverine: (Snff.)

That is a perfect icon.

It wasn't the smell that actually led Laura to where the child was hiding, but rather her heartbeat, now that she was close enough to hear it. Green eyes scanned the room until they settled on the pair peering out at her and narrowed slightly, thoughtfully. Small. Young? Probably...but who could say on a ship full of aliens?

Whichever it was, they had done some impressive damage to the bar, at least. Laura took a step closer, listening for anyone else before she let her whole attention focus on the girl.

"What are you doing?"

Extremely helpful. However, unlike most people Renart isn't the type to be itching for answers. A solution will appear eventually, and in the meantime shes dealt with enough children over the years to feel comfortable with handling this situation. She even has the added bonus of having raised several litters of her own kits a long time ago, which looks like it'll be advantageous when this kid seems to be acting more like an animal than a human.

She wags her tail at the compliment and lets out a chirpy purr, taking a few steps closer. Still wary, in case the girl wants to grab her and start pulling on her ears or tail.

Kids do that sometimes. It's entirely revolting.

"Hello," she says casually, as if it's perfectly normal for a fox to be talking to a human girl acting like a dog. "You're rather cute yourself."

Dean's at the bar, thinking on the wonders of life-- no, he's actually not. He's still at the bar, but he's contemplating things he shouldn't be, staring off at nothing in particular the way he tends to do when he's not quite sure what the fuck the plan is. It's utterly unsettling - all of this - being without Cas, not knowing what to do with himself, not knowing how to feel about anything in particular. All of it. Any of it. The fact that he feels quite so lost is essentially tearing him apart, but. Whatever. He keeps telling himself he's dealing.

He's not.

At least a distraction comes in the form of a small child suddenly making an appearance and doing it rather loudly. Dean is up on his feet within seconds, brow furrowed, trying to keep track of the scurrying beastling. His gaze tracks the kids movements until Dean moves around the bar to where all the booze is kept, not entirely sure if getting down to the kid's eye level is such a good idea.

But he does it anyway. Even if it'll likely mean getting his nose bitten off, he'll deal. "You're not gonna get out flingin' yourself around over here."

Crowley does not approve of bottle flinging. Not even a little. Only one crashes to the wall, any others start to float, mid-air as the demon makes an idle gesture with his hand. The broken bottle begins ot reform, the liquid returning to it as if nothing ever happened at all.

"Right, if you're going to play silly buggers with my booze you can jog on," he says, looking at her like she's just a little kid having a tantrum and not much all. "This stuff costs me money and you're buggering up my inventory. You'll make Tyrion antsy."

Misty is making one of her regular rounds to the Iskaulit garden when she feels an eerie presence, a warning tingle up her spine. When she reaches the entrance and sees that the lights are all off, she pauses, uncertain if she should go in. The lights should be on a carefully arranged timing system, and even at "night," there's usually at least one light on by the door for anyone who might be visiting.

She quickly gathers her courage, however, and reaches for the light switch and -

"Holy shi-"

The creepy girl's scream cuts her off and Misty reflexively jumps back, covering her ears.

Davesprite doesn't actually hear her; comes with the boon of noise-canceling headphones and boredly listening to space rap. In fact, the resident pet fox is the one who investigates first, excitedly drawn by the food Lilly has thrown at the walls. He stops and yowls in the doorway and Davesprite is forced to halt behind him, distracted from the book he grabbed on one of the planets. "Newt, what."

He gently nudges the fox to one side with a foot and looks up, dead still until he flicks a wing and grabs Newton (the crew really doesn't need him licking weird shit off the walls and vomiting it up later). Then he holds up his communicator as well as he can around an armful of fox, and calmly snaps a picture.

"Don't mind me, I'm just collecting evidence so no one can blame me for jack shit later."

This is why Crowley hates kids. This is exactly why. He pinches the bridge of his nose and lets out a groan.

"Yeah. Great. Good listening."

He snaps his fingers and the bottle returns itself to how it was. At the same time, Lilly might find herself floating away from the bottles and towards the door.

Fortunately, once that initial shock wears off, Misty is able to take everything in calmly. There are far scarier things out there than this little girl and she's seen them. So Misty takes a few slow steps towards the table before sitting down cross-legged in front of the girl and waits to see what she does.

If that had been meant to intimidate or frighten her, it didn't work at all. Her gaze flicked after the bottle, watching it shatter, then back to the child. Aggression, but not directed at her. She was trying to seem threatening without actually getting into direct conflict. It was...very animalistic, really.

Which, given the rest of her behavior, wasn't exactly surprising. But still curious.

"You will stop." She said, moving towards the bar now. Her voice was calm and even but carried an edge of authority, very much a 'this is going to happen' kind of tone. She'd had a lot of practice at that.

"You and me both, kid." She says it wearily, because fuck knows what to do with someone like Lilly in a place like this. Maybe if she's lucky the Atroma will realise they've made a tremendous mistake and send her home.

"We're both stuck here. Someone took us, and they suck. I'm guessing it's too much to ask you know what ship you're on?"
