[Sam is currently busy wrestling a heavily bleeding brother and is also trying to work a network device, so sorry if his shaky voice entry is a little concerning. He'd text it if it wasn't, y'know, his friggin' brother bleeding out in front of him. If he sounds like he's barely masking his own panic, that's because he is. He's doing pretty okay, okay. He's good at being calm under pressure, though it's a bit more of a challenge when it's Dean in danger.]

This is Sam on the Red Fish — Coil, Beverly, Allen, Jennifer, um...! Anyone with healing or medical experience or lab support, I need — [Dean can be heard in the background, pissed off and maybe a little sluggish from, y'know, the usual bullshit: "I don't need to be saved, goddammit-"] I need someone here. Someone's bleeding a lot from a, an injury to the neck, and I can't —

[A breath, to calm himself.]

My brother's hurt really bad. I'll try to patch it up, but I need — help.

["Son of a bitch, I swear- it's not- I don't need help!"]

[After Dean's been laid down in the Red Fish's medical section (and here Sam thought the Coil and Winter fiasco would be the only reason he'd need to see people laid up recently), Sam can be found with his brother. He's not taking his eye off him, not for a goddamn while, trust him. There are a few ways people can run into the two brothers the next few days: one, they could run into Sam while Dean's drugged up and asleep. He's sitting firmly with his arms folded, blood still on his clothes and exhaustion in his expression. Dude should really sleep.

Or - once Dean's awake and mildly alert, they may find the rare occasion where Sam's accidentally fallen asleep beside the guy, buried face-first in the bed sheets or tipped backward and snoring on occasion. He doesn't mean to even go to sleep, but it's about on par with falling asleep because Lucifer's hallucinations won't leave you alone. No, okay, this is better than that, but. Anyway. He's out.

Or, if you want to bother both of them at the same time, it's easy to walk in and find them afterward. Sam's maybe got a book, or maybe it looks like they've just had a glaring match, or something. Probably bickering. Or probably intense family conversation they're quick to mask when a visitor comes in. Let's be real, though, Dean's gonna probably hate your dumb hospital visit.

Sam would just like to say: shut up and take your friggin' blood.]

[he is not exactly known for his warm, friendly bedside manner... but hey, he heard that there was an incident involving a lot of blood and two of his crew, so he figured he aught to swing by and see how everyone's doing.

so he shows up in the doorway, absolutely wearing a full face of skull makeup. just so that no one gets any ideas about Literal Death appearing to take them away--he knocks on the doorframe to announce that he's here.]

[Sam glances up from his place, dressed out of his old shirt but still sporting some grizzly jeans; it's pretty typical in his life for his clothes to be totally wrecked. Dean's — well, Dean's Dean, and he's doing a hell of a lot better suped up on medication. He's in the middle of annoying Dean by reading him old files about prior planets with Zhas shows up.

Either this is Dean's salvation or a further spiral into hell, amirite.]

[ Actually, the shit about the prior planets is moderately interesting if not hideously boring in equal measure. It's near enough to knock him out cold but he's paying attention because some part of him wants to win some unspoken war he's created in his mind against Sam. As if he can stay up longer, win the race, outlast him. Just because. It's frustrating but Dean's hanging in there, though the knock to the door frame has him shamefully caught of guard.

Usually he'd prefer to be on his game, but- drugs, man. He didn't even ask for them. ]

[ A phrase which Dean isn't sure if he regrets or not once he says it - he's not up for even more scolding from Mr. Mother Hen, but he'll cope one way or another. ]

[in general, letting Zhas go anywhere or talk to anyone is a terrible idea. but who knows, maybe the stars will align and he'll somehow be less of a pain in the ass to interact with today.

[ deAN tries to interject but he sort of fails miserably because he's tired and yup. Instead he shoots Sam a vaguely disgruntled look because why are they telling everyone, this is his goddamn business and you still interrupted him in the process and uGH SIGH.

Looking back to Zhas a forces a look that proclaims that Sam got in the way of his attempt and he's still kind of annoyed about it, but there's nothing he can do now under the watchful eye of one Sam Winchester. ]

[he looks between the both of them, since he... is maybe the last person to want to get in the middle of a brotherly disagreement. he can see why Sam would be pissed at his brother for basically trying to take out a piece of his own neck.

but on the other hand... he leans forward a little, resting a hand on the rail-edge of the bed.]

[because yeah, he's 100% in favor of trying to cut your augment out for science. he doubts there'd be anything that Dean hasn't already told Sam, but it's not like he's got the experience of trying himself.]
