[For a while, he ponders the validity of just going hungry and thirsty rather than admit the trouble he seems to have wound up in.

When he went to sleep, sprawled across the floor in a hall in the Iskaulit, he hadn't paid much attention to the fact that there was a grating which shifted under him when he rolled.

When he wakes up, he's horribly, vividly aware of it, because he's stuck down the bottom of the vent and can't jump with enough force to push it open. Puppy legs just aren't strong enough to jump from smooth metal like that and whilst he considers just starving until whatever horror this is wears off, he quickly finds his soft little paw pads are getting irritated by the cold metal.

He tries to message Sascha directly with the communicator, conveniently down there with him. When then fails, he just shoves his nose against it until something turns on it blinks that light that means broadcasting.]

I need help. I'm... stuck. In a vent. On the Iskaulit.

[His voice is child soft and light.

And then he shivers, because the cold is coming up through his paws.]

((OOC: Bigby is glitching for a week or so. Bigby is glitching into an adorable pup.))

Addendum

[Bigby can be found mostly on the Iskaulit and Bloodsport, because while he'd love to hide away in his room, he can't actually get out of it on his own. So you can find the tiny pup wandering around on his own (possibly being stalked by a squealing not-vampire), terrorising the fox park like only a tiny pup can and sometimes falling asleep in random spots because he's just worn himself otu and abby bodies need sleep.]

Whew....! Okay, thanks! [ SO RELIEVED. He'd worry if tiny puppy insisted on doing things alone like that. This is reassuring, and he'll bring out that steak now, closing the door. ]

Half that amount. You're strong enough to snap it in half.

Bigby, shhhh! That's a secret! [ He doesn't want people to know that sort of thing about him :c he likes being a goofy, useless idiot vampire. ]

Bigbyyyy...! They're already bad at me for being a bad guy! I don't want them to think I'm bad now too...

[The tone is solemn and old, even if the voice is horribly young.]

Sheol did the best he could in a very difficult situation. Without your attachments and moral code, he still did his best to act in a way that agreed with your beliefs. He isn't bad, or evil. He simply is what he is. A top tier predator trapped with nothing but his prey, all around him.

You're not bad. And neither is he. He is a predator and you... are a predator who has taught yourself how to resist all your natural urges. That takes more strength and will than any of them will ever know.

You....you really think all that...? About me? What I--did? [ Sascha was going to put the meat on to reheat, but when Bigby comes forward with all of that he finds himself faltering, turning to look at the tiny pup with cautiously hopeful, uncertain eyes.

He certainly didn't think that highly of himself. Never has, probably never naturally would. ]

[The little chin lifts up, set and sure.]

What you do, every day, takes more than any of them realise. I know you're fighting your own body, every day. I'm proud.

B...Bigby... [ He has no idea how much that means to him. How important it is to hear that from someone he thinks so highly of, who he respects and looks up to more than anyone else.

Sascha's throat feels tight all over again as he presses his lips into a tight line, moving over to the island carefully. ]

Can....I hold you for a little bit?

[Bigby sighs and stands up, balancing on his haunches and lifting up his front paws in expectation of being picked up.]

[ He definitely will be, but for once it's not with all the enthusiasm and energy of the puppy-loving Sascha; he's subdued now, grateful and emotional and not sure what to do with any of those feelings. When he pulls Bigby into his arms he's less holding him and more clinging, desperately needing the contact and reassurance as he ducks his head and closes his eyes. ]

[Bigby can't do much, but he kicks to get his stubby, tiny front legs around Sascha's neck... or at least for of hugging his throat and a wet nose pressed against his skin.]

[pneumo]

[ The cold wet tickles, but Sascha doesn't mind. If anything he sniffs, holds a little tighter. Never too rough as to hurt Bigby of course, but it's obvious this means a fair deal to him. ]

...I just want to be someone people like...

[Bigby hugs as he can and lets Sascha cuddle, which is probably more necessary.]

You are, pup. And if they can't tell that Sheol wasn't you, then they weren't going to understand you anyway. You had an augment glitch, like I'm having. Just yours took your mind, instead of your body.

[pneumo]

But I was so...mean. I hurt people. I scared--I scared Winn, and now I can't go to the ships anymore. [ he feels like a monster. ]

[bb_wolf]

It wasn't your fault. Someone else was living in your body, and he did his best in the circumstances. If people blame you for that? You can't change their mind. You can't make them see differently. All you can do is keep being you.

[He knows. Hundreds of years and he still cops it, despite how many of them he saved.]

[pneumo]

But...I don't want to be me if they don't like me. I want to be who they like. [ It comes out defeated and morose, like he already knows that's impossible but doesn't quite want to let go of the idea--and he doesn't. Hasn't. Refuses to, until now. Anything's fine so long as they don't hate me; that's been his way of thinking since he can remember. ]

Sascha... you can't please everyone. Ever. Because people want different things from you. All you can do is be yourself and accept the people who accept you. Kitty will. I bet Winn will, even if he had a scare.

[pneumo]

...You really think Winn will forgive me? [ Kitty did. And Kitty thought he would too, given time. It's just that the possibility seems so far away when everything prior to his life in the Fleet has suggested otherwise. It seems such an insurmountable wall. ]

[bb_wolf]

Yeah. It might take a while. He willbe scared of you for a while, and you'll be able to smell it, but he can't stop that, so you have to ignore it if he does. If he wants to see you and he smells scared? It means he wants to overcome it. He'll learn to stop being scared with time.

[pneumo]

[ Sascha nods, and holds silence for a moment. ]
