[He shakes his head.] Hux actually argued against clones - said it was better to use soldiers conditioned from birth. There hasn't been a sizeable clone army since General Kenobi's time. Too costly.

[And now she's wondering if he was part of a "breeding program" like he mentioned.] You were with them since you were a baby? You never knew anything else?

[It's not like Stormtroopers ever get to see their own files, so while he still looks thoughtful Finn shrugs.]

Even if they do, it's not the kind of thing you can exactly waltz up and ask them about when the biggest thing on your file is traitor.

Hack the files? [Okay, probably not an easy task, but it's where her mind goes at least.]

[Luckily, the augment translates that to the term he's more familiar with.]

Have to infiltrate a base again, and find out where they're kept. It's not like here, where most things are just on the network. Be too easy for an enemy to take remote control of a ship that way. Data's stored locally and sometimes hard copy only.

[That's the whole reason a single piece of data BB-8 took had started Finn's whole adventure.]

[Finn ducks his head. That's...a pretty good analysis, if more flattering than he usually gives himself.]

I get it. Sometimes I think I should at least stop calling Marina "the prison" it really throws people when I say I was in a prison before this. But...it's not really the same. [She doesn't have any hangups about having been there. She may have things to answer for, but no court of law put her there. No authority she recognizes.]
