If it wasn't for "space nazi" [which he totally pronounces as "nazzy" because how should he know] I would have thought it was definitely me.

Soooo it's gotta be somebody that knows YOU well enough to have typed this up super quick, knows that word, and probably knows Steve too.

[Or at least can imitate his style well enough after looking at some of his network typing, which...isn't actually hard, but Finn doesn't think of it yet.]

Someone from Earth, probably. It's an Earth reference.

[Which means most of the Caprine is out by default, and he's pretty sure that isn't something Qing would do. So it's got to be someone from another ship.]

How about this? Can you tell what it is? Someone on the network told me it would help identify if there was some kind of slice on the signal, but I didn't know who it was so I haven't run it yet.

Hmmm do you know WHO sent it? I mean it could be the same guy that pickpocketed your comm.

Theeeen I probably wouldn't open it, especially after someone stole your comm like that. Might even be a good idea to delete it.

Like, uh. [How do you explain something like this.] Where I'm from, the officers always had these little devices that were keyed to their genetic material, and when someone sent an encrypted message they'd make it so only that officer could open it.

Yeah, maybe. [She's communications, too, so maybe she'll know how to do it? For a moment Finn misses Aphra because she probably would have known how to do this. But none of the others from his time are Engineering or Comms, so he can't go to someone who's already familiar with it. Oh well.]

OOH! Or Tony Stark! He's on the Pathstone but he's a Communications officer and he knows a LOT about tech stuff from home!

That's probably good. He's a pretty nice guy [if a Class A cocky troll, not that she knows] and I think he'd be happy being able to make stuff.

Huh. And he must be Communications, too, cause he figured out who I was. Good idea.
