It's not every day that your little brother turns sixteen. Of course, in the scope of things - being swept away to live on a ship in space literal moments before your own death? - maybe it's not that big of a deal. Measuring time in things like 'years' and 'days' is kind of arbitrary this far from Earth, too, but oh, well.

This is important. This matters.

Which is why Tadashi is getting started early in the morning. He crouches down next to his baby brother's bunk and gently flicks the tip of his nose. "Hey, Hiro, c'mon, get up. You're late for school."

And of course, being asleep and so imaginative, Hiro's brain falls for this trick immediately. He blinks blearily at the ceiling, scrunching his nose while it settles in what he just said.

"Wh..--wait, what?! Shit!" Well, no one can blame him for getting caught off guard. Hiro is flailing to get out of his bed now.

NOPE. And Tadashi is just flinging an arm across Hiro's shoulders, pinning him dramatically like they're TV wrestlers or something like that.

"Uh, excuse me? What have I said about language?"
