I was gonna just send it to him, but I thought it might be more fun to share them... and a hundred questions is an awful lot for one person to handle all at once! Anyway, here goes--

polar bears are giant fluffy white bears that live in snowy places! they go ice fishing and eat penguins and stuff

It is possible we do not have them in my world. I have never seen such things, after all, though I have also never been farther north than my country's capital.

same with me. we see them in pictures and on TV, mostly, or zoos if we're lucky.

nahh it was pretty warm where i lived. polar bears would be really uncomfortable, i bet!

You are surely correct. I am no polar bear, but when I visited my master's country, it was almost unbearable. However, yours does not sound as though it is desert.

pretty common, yeah. it's just stuff you pick up growing up.

I never learned anything of the sort. But my village had strong walls, so we rarely saw any wildlife from the outside anyway...

Whoa, for real? Around the whole village?? What were the walls for?

To keep out the wildlife that would steal our crops or farm animals, and to protect us from brigands and monsters. Though, Song Village was rather safe. I played outside the walls frequently with my sister, and in my time there, the walls only fell once.

It did. I know not what a good record for this would be, but it took a full swarm of enraged basilisks to breach the wall. Even then, a traveling knight was able to dispatch them and saved many lives that night. Outlaws and bandits never breached the walls once.

Great lizards, similar to drakes. As long as four men lying head to toe, breath of fire, and meeting their gaze is certain death. They are truly horrible monsters.

It is all right. It was a great tragedy, but that time is how I met my master as well. But you have no monsters?

we have villains that act like it- people call them monsters all the time. but that's not the same thing

Truthfully, I think it is likely better that way. It is easier to fight monsters than people.
