[hearing her laugh does make him smile, shaky around the edges but more than he's managed without forcing it since they got home. As she leans into him he threads his fingers through her hair and just - breathes her in, relishes in having her so close, finally, and some of the tension eases from his shoulders. Not all of it, not for a while, but enough.
