hail the orphan king(s)
Who: Dean and uh.... a wee Sam Winchester
Broadcast: fleetwide!
Action: Red Fish
When: nooww
[ Dean looks ultimately..... tired. And vaguely grumpy, but when does he not look like either of those things. Though it could be said he has good reason for this as there is a toddler-sized child in his arms, preoccupied with screeching and reaching desperately for the ground. It's shouting his name on repeat 'Dean, dowwn, Dean, dooowwn!' but as soon as he puts the child back on the floor, he's immediately reaching back up again, tugging on Dean's jacket, arms reaching for the sky.
'Dean! Deaaan!'
Truth be told, this is not actually something unfamiliar to him.
It's just something that feels as if it happened a million years ago. ]
Looking for some place to take a kid. [ Wait, let's rephrase. ] Not to dump him, but to get him outside.
Don't feel like cramping him up in here while we've got the chance to get out and-- haven't exactly toured the place much. Just want to get him out without having to deal with... anything. Keep him in here and he'll find his way to the armory when i'm not looking.
[ You think he's kidding. Winchesters and guns are like peanut butter and jelly.... give Dean another second while he swaps the kiddo from one hip to another, almost like he's done this once or twice before. It almost even looks like he's doing that bouncing-baby thing. ]
I'd appreciate the advice.

What the actual fuck.

Glad to know you've never seen a real live kid before.
video;
I've seen plenty. I don't live under a rock, Dean.
video;
[ He has no time for your shenanigans, he has a feisty wee one!! Who is now once again toddling around his feet. ]

If you're not keen to take him down where the factions are constantly squabbling over themselves, you may want to try that dog park instead. The new one they just added to the fleet. Children like dogs, don't they?
[ flying by the seat of her well-tailored pants, here. ]

Kid's always had a thing for dogs.
video »
Is he yours?
[ your son, she means. ]
video »
Duh.
Let's just all witness as the small child smacks him on his cheek before asking to once again be put down on the floor. ]
My brother. Think his augment turned back the clock.

Why do you have a child.
[ video ]
Because my brother's augment decided he was better off as a kid, maybe.

[Hard to pick the expression on her face. She seems to be dialling between outrage and are you fucking kidding me back to blackmail material and the fact Dean looks a lot...uh. Gentler, like this.
She's not gonna ask if he knows how to look after a baby. Kind of obvious answer.]
There are some nice parks in the Spirit side of things. I haven't been much further. Or take him to the fox park on the Iskaulit. Or bring him by the bar, if you need a break.

Swimming, perhaps.
[His face is noticeably enthralled, despite that ever-present composure.]

Kid is cute though, he'll give him that. ]
There a place with a shallow end?

Finally he arrives: ]
He has trouble swimming?

Red Fish!
[Syeira leans in the doorway, looking much more hail and hearty than she has since her revival. She has a repressed, but still peeking through, smile on her face, watching him juggle the toddler.]
I think this is becoming a favorite of Atroma, though this is younger than Arthur was by a long stretch.

[ Dean knows he hasn't paid her even close to his full attention since she's come back from the dead - they've likely bumped up against each other in passing or something of the sort and he feels dickish that he hasn't done more. But he felt like it wasn't his place, was too distracted with Cas' departure (still is) and now he just feels kind of awkward about it altogether. ]
I swear, the next time an augment fucks with someone-- [ What're you gonna do about it, Dean? Even though he's once again back to setting little Sammy on the ground, watching as he toddles his way on over. ]
