Action: Blue Fish's clinic!
When: All throughout the Solrius dragon plot and through the space flight to the next destination.

[So several RPG characters, a dragon, and two messianic figures walk into a planet.

Everything is suffering and tears, there's a lot of dead people, there's no punchline. But, hey, for the survivors, the Blue Fish's clinic is treating wounds and generally being a decent place to rest and recover and pray you don't see a dragon again. And for those who weren't involved, there's enough people bedridden here that there may just be someone you want to visit.]

Yeah... I can't imagine what it's like.

[He lost his mother, but not like that. And he had someone pull him out of the misery he was in after that. He just hopes Sorey has a network like that too... Clay had offered, of course, but it's up to Sorey if he'll take him up on that.]

The planet's going to take some time to recover, too. We did what we could - me and everyone else I gathered, but we only had about a day. Still, it was a lot more than I thought it'd be.

[Honestly...Allen might have some idea, but only some. But he knows he's really not in the state of mind to discuss the complicated minefield that is Sorey right now]

Oh yeah, I think I saw your entry before I went to fight...

[He offers a smile] It was really good of you. I'm sure it'll help them a lot, even if it doesn't fix everything.

Better than just leaving it the way it was.

[They'd be nothing but terrorists if that were to happen. Leave villages in shambles, people homeless and without hope, without doing a thing to try to help them. They'd be utterly heartless and cruel to do something like that.]

'Course that means I'm pretty much broke, but it's worth it.

[Sure, he may have stopped the worst of it. But beating a dragon doesn't put food on their tables, does it? He'll reach over to squeeze Clay's hand with his working hand]

Don't worry. After what you did, the dates will be on me for awhile.

[He raises his eyebrows and smiles at that, holding Allen's hand in return]

Just for a little while. Then it's back to sharing the bill.

[Speaking of...]

By the way, I saw you got someone from your world.

[Now, despite the... really horrible bomb that Apollo dropped, that doesn't mean Clay is any less happy to see his best friend. And... in a way, he's grateful, too. It's a haunting mystery that's been finally cleared up... even though he can't really say anything about it yet.

So when Allen mentions that, Clay can't help letting his smile grow.]

Yeah?

[He can assume that Allen didn't hear the... concerning part, since he doesn't seem pitying or horrified or anything.]

[Yeah, Clay is lucky there. Allen had shut down the communicator way before that part came up. He gives a nod and smile]

Yeah, I saw his feed.

I didn't introduce myself though. Didn't really seem like a good time to give a good impression....you know?

[Is it possible to cringe and laugh a little at the same time? Because yeah, Clay just did that. On one hand, yeah, it'd be a terrible impression, not to mention that Apollo probably wouldn't believe it if Clay didn't get there first. On the other hand, "hi, I'm Clay's boyfriend, I'm off to kill a couple of our friends" is still very sore to think about.]

Believe me, I know. I'm imagining now; I'm pretty sure it would not go well.

[Yeah, he knows while Clay is fine with him being an Exorcist? He'd imagine Clay's best friend might have SOME issue with it if not approached, um, carefully]

So I thought, maybe you should introduce us sometime! So we can make sure it goes stellar!

[The thought makes him grin, excitement letting him bounce in his seat a little. Apollo did need a break from seeing him, which - well, yeah, Clay can't blame him, but he still wants to tell him everything when he can, and that includes introducing him to his boyfriend.]

Hey, yeah, stellar idea! I'm sure he'll be over the moon when he finds out who you are!

[He glances to the side, then leans in a little to lower his voice a bit.]

Though, uh, I know this is weird, but the last time I had a boyfriend it turned out really bad, so he might. Ask you a lot of questions.

[Or he might not! But just as a... precaution.]

Ha...well he's a lawyer isn't he? I figured there'd be a line of questioning...

[probably underneath a single bulb and all that]

Any tips or...things to watch out for?

Well, let me think... I don't think you'll have a problem with this, but he's really good at telling when someone's nervous or lying. So if you see him do something like this -

[And he widens his eyes while he frowns, then goes back to his normal expression]

- it doesn't mean he disapproves or anything, but he probably found a really subtle nervous twitch. Aaand he might ask you about that.

But I'm meeting your best friend. Apollo. I'm going to be nervous the entire time!

I mean - It's not like he picks up on it when you're just nervous, anyone could do that!

It's more like... You know when someone's hiding something, and they give a little tell when they do it? I'm not good at picking those things out, but Apollo's is, even if it's just a little thing. Like... Like in poker!

[ALLEN SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT RIGHT??]

[YEAH HE KNOWS THAT. Takes a deep breath]

Okay...I can handle that, I think. Just look at it like a game of cards! Except I'm out to...win his approval, not his money!

[please don't take his money Apollo doesn't even have much on Earth and MUCH LESS here]

You'll be fine! Just keep telling yourself that and you'll get his approval in no time!

He's important to you, so I want to make sure he's not worried about me with you.

[Which is definitely true; Apollo's been a staple in Clay's life for such a long time now that it's always felt a little like something was missing while Clay was here. The fact that Allen wants to try hard to get Apollo's approval is touching, especially since his last ex didn't care to. So he tilts his head, his smile turning more affectionate and adoring.]

Well, I think when he sees how happy I am with you, he won't have anything to worry about.

Of course! Least I hope so...

[He smiles sheepishly]

...Sorry. The last time I had to try to get someone's approval, they sent a killer robot after me. So... [ITS A NERVE-WRACKING EXPERIENCE]

I can tell you with utter astronomical accuracy that even if Apollo didn't approve, he wouldn't send a killer robot after you.

[That's Aura. And honestly, the most he'd do is grump if that was the case.]
