When: All throughout the Solrius dragon plot and through the space flight to the next destination.

[So several RPG characters, a dragon, and two messianic figures walk into a planet.

Everything is suffering and tears, there's a lot of dead people, there's no punchline. But, hey, for the survivors, the Blue Fish's clinic is treating wounds and generally being a decent place to rest and recover and pray you don't see a dragon again. And for those who weren't involved, there's enough people bedridden here that there may just be someone you want to visit.]

[There's surprise in her voice as she looks him over again.]

You're Zaveid? Mikleo and Sorey mentioned you before.

[ If he could flex right now he definitely would, but all he can do is offer her a charming grin. ]

[She's just staring blankly now.]

... By the way, did the dragon burn your shirt off or something? Do you need a new one?

[THEY NEVER MENTIONED YOU WERE SHIRTLESS]

[ Well, that's just rude. ]

Nah. I don't need a shirt to cover up my luscious body.

[More blank staring.]

... Did Mikleo hit you in the head or something?

[ Ah... Hm. ]

No, just burned away all my beautiful hair...

[She sounds genuinely sympathetic and upset about that. Her hair is important to her, after all, so she can understand someone else being upset for the same reasons.]

Sorry to hear that. At least you can grow it back...?

[ That, at least, makes Zaveid laugh a little. ]

I don't know about that, but mine always came back pretty fast. You give up on keeping it short.

Any effect created through application of mana is magic. So there's more to it than just seraphim.

Can you tell me more about them? I heard a bit from Mikleo, but any information is good.

There are three types - martial, hidden and seraphic. Some are magical, some are hand to hand, and some are something else, depending on who's doing them. They just are - you can't really explain them.

What do you mean, can't explain them?

[That sounds like a challenge, Zaveid.]

It's just how things are. Why does there need to be an explanation?

Because everything has an explanation.

And if you know the explanation behind something, you can make it better.

I'd actually love to. I spoke to her over the comms a bit, but I haven't really seen her yet... She sounded like she knew more than Sorey or Mikleo about how your stuff works, and I had some ideas for experiments to try out. Is she off the Marsiva yet?

Yeah, we've been spending time together so she's definitely not there anymore. I dunno which ship she's on, though.
