Another dramatic entry

Who: Kylo Ren and OTA
Broadcast: a bit later, Fleetwide.
Action: SS Red Fish and wherever he discovers he can go
When: After the shuffle

Some have probably been dreading this moment. Kylo Ren is free!

[Option A: Immediately after the shuffle.]

It's probably a good thing all the people he's already pissed off aren't aboard the SS Red Fish. Because thanks to his violent outbursts aboard the Marsiva, Kylo just spent the past week locked in a small supply closet with only a bottle of window cleaner to sustain him. He's starving, dehydrated, exhausted and unless someone catches him, he's hitting the floor along with the confetti...

[Option B: A bit later.]

As soon as he could stand without passing out, Kylo was determined to explore his surroundings. That included the Red Fish (which thanks to his augment, now sported a pantry with food that wasn't protein gel) and anywhere else he could conceivably go.

He'd gotten briefed on the basics. He pulled out his communicator, and turned the audio settings on. "So, who missed me?"

Oh, okay, at least Ben is talking to him, that's a good thing. Heron--that's where Leia's mother, Ben's grandmother is, and not for the first time Han feels a small headache coming on. Timelines.

you need anything before you head there?

can't help on that, Ben. could send a stun weapon over, though, I picked up a few on the last planet. He wishes he does have some other way to help. Some small part of him, however, feels just a little bit glad--this is the part that's never quite understood the Force, that might have accepted its existence but never quite got it. He tries not to listen to that part often, these days.

yeah, don't worry about that, either. secret's safe with me. And he means it, knowing full well that Ben hasn't got the means to kill him for a second time.
ranoutofluck: (yeah i'm feeling good tonight)

Han thinks, suddenly, of a younger Ben, protesting everything--from vegetables to bathtime to bedtime. His answer is reminiscent of those times, trying to wrangle a small child into complying:

tough luck, you're getting one anyway. you still know how to use one?
ranoutofluck: (and since that carbonite's off me)

I'm your father. I worry about you.

Lost causes, and all that. There's a few minutes before Han sends the next message: and you didn't answer my question. It is probably clear that he doesn't intend to stop trying to parent his kid.
ranoutofluck: (no jabba to answer to)

Kylo Ren can keep telling himself that, but Han knows better. Has seen better. His son's still in there, and even a small sliver of hope that he can maybe get him back is enough for Han to keep going anyway, unmindful of the declaration of his son being dead.

just what?

pretty talkative for someone who's supposedly dead, then. and you still haven't answered the question.
He's pretty talkative for somebody dead, himself, now that he thinks about it.
