[ His voice could not be dryer. In fact, the kitchen might just be filled with sand it's so dry. He reaches out and begins to poke his friend in the side of the head. Repeatedly. ] Dude, come on, two seconds then you can go back to your secret messages or whatever. [ He moves one of the fs off, replaces it with an extra 'o'. It now says woof. ]

[He swats Isaac's hand away from his head, even as he steps out of the way.]

If we're missing any Ls, I'm not the one responsible. I bought like five packs of these suckers so I could swear to my heart's content in block letters meant for a six-year-old.

[ Once Davesprite is clear, he opens the fridge and idly stares at it before pulling out a half eaten sandwich from the day before. It's not going to be great, but it will be edible. He is a human garbage disposal. ]

[Davesprite moves most of the magnets aside with a splayed hand, once Isaac is done. This leaves only fuckwick and woof behind.

He sits down next to Isaac, bouncing one knee, and rests his crossed arms on the table.]

Something like that. [He says it absently, momentarily inspecting Isaac's sandwich before he deems it uninteresting.] I didn't bother counting. Means we've got a shitload of numbers, though, and I'm not into the leetspeaking life.

[ He was locked in a freezer as an adolescent. They don't have the internet in the land of GEs and frigidaires. ]

Is that a weird alien language or something? [ He sees those eyes on his sandwich, too, and pulls it a little closer to himself before taking a bite. ]

[Davesprite visibly pauses.]

Isaac. Dude. Are you sure we're from the same decade?

Yeah. I mean I think we are. When were you born again?

[ Excuse him as he talks around a mouthful of sandwich. ] 'Cause I've never heard of that language or whatever it is.

[He ignores the question about when he was born for more pressing matters.]

Were you deprived of the internet your whole life. How far removed from reality do you have to be to miss out on the horrors of leetspeak.

I pretty much played sports or helped my dad work, okay? Didn't really do the whole internet thing much. I played some video games, though.

[ And he was locked in the freezer a lot, but it's FINE. ] But whatever, I don't know what it is. Big deal.

[He scoots around some of the sad half dinosaur magnets left on the table.]

[ No less, why is he allowed to talk to a very sleepy Isaac Lahey. He just stares at him, and it doesn't even look like he's trying to make sense of what Davesprite has said. Pretty house, nobody home. ]

[ He sticks two of the dinosaur magnets together. ] These ones are pretty cool, though. How'd you say that in leet speak?

[Did Isaac reverse polarity on one of those magnets so they can fuse together to become a hideous frankendino.]

[ He's found a matching set, but the front end is a brontosaurus and the back end is a t-rex. ] What do you think this dinosaur would be called? If it had wings it could be named after you.

[Tragically for Isaac, Davesprite skips the leetspeaking inquiry, because he refuses to do a vocal imitation of Terezi Pyrope.]

[He doesn't sound bothered in the least. He does turn the brontosaurus's head up to look at Isaac, though.]

[ Please, Davesprite. He slouches, folding his arms on the table, resting his head on one. ] My neck isn't long enough, but I guess I can see it.

[ He pulls the dinos apart and sticks their magnet ends on the table, assuming it's metal. ] Newt's gonna try to eat these, I bet.

You're stuck with reparations if he does. I paid good money for these prehistoric magnets.

[He sticks a couple more half-dinos in line with Isaac's magnets. It's like a morbid display.]

Whoa, I'm not responsible for that demon fox.

[ He tosses one of the dino butts at Davesprite. ] He might take up space in my room sometime but I'm pretty sure you're the one who spent money on him. So that's your deal.

[He snags the dino butt out of midair before it can hit him in the face.]

Nah, man, the adoption papers went through and everything. You're stuck with him for life, especially since you're his favorite. Next thing you know, he'll be bringing you Number One Dad mugs for Father's Day.

[frigidaire]

Then you're gonna start babysitting because he's found out if he wakes me up he gets attention. Even if I just throw a pillow at him. He thinks its fun. Then you wake me up and it's like I don't need sleep at all.

[ He's a sleepy woof, even now, and chucks another dino butt at him halfheartedly. ]

[Davesprite catches and throws this one back.]

You sleep all the time.

[And Davesprite gets bored and lonely, ok. :'(]

Yeah, because I get woken up ever couple hours by one of you assholes.

[ Isaac gives Davesprite a look. ] And the full moon isn't that far away. I think if I actually got eight hours of sleep a night, I might not be tired all the time. Or if it wasn't so boring here.

[Davesprite just looks perplexed by that declaration.]

How can there be a full moon when all we're surrounded by are waystations. Have you been keeping one in your pocket the whole time?

[frigidaire]

Yeah, I carry one around because I just like being a hairy freak all the time.

[ ... really, Davesprite. (NIX!!!!) ] Nah, there were just a bunch of moons at our last stop. Though being with the factions helped when I could just fight it out. It's still tiring.

[ I'm not even. These moons have the special quality needed for Isaac to feel the pull of transformation mildly. Who knows what those qualities are, or when they'll be determined, but they were there, damn it. ]

Still doesn't tell me how you know there's gonna be a full moon, but ok.

[He doesn't actually care how it works; he just does this shit to bug Isaac within acceptable bugging parameters. Should have been a beetlesprite, tbh.]
