This is all some kind of trick, right?

[ Hello, Drift Fleet. There's currently a very comfortable-looking young man on one of the Marsiva's hospitality couches eating some of the bland processed food and looking at the communicator that is obviously placed next to his plate on the coffee table in front of him. Comfortable-looking, maybe, but twitchy. ]

We're on a television show, in space, and that is very cool, yes. But it's a trick. Maybe we're actually in space, but we're stuck and I don't get stuck. So this is obviously some kind of... master plan by the government trying to cage people in. Forced labor or something.

[ The last part is mumbled as he eats more, chews, swallows. Takes a long drink from his cup. ]

That's... really slow. Like the world's worst road trip. Or the galaxy's worst road trip.

...I think it's actually the universe's worst road trip, but I'm not gonna argue you on the "worst" part.

...I think you'll find that the universe pretty much covers everything.

Yeah, you get transferred after a while. Most of the crew around here seem pretty nice, even if they're a bunch of weirdos... So... You'll probably be okay...

[ Thank goodness Aaron doesn't catch the implication there. ]

But are they fun? Or are they all just weird and boring?

[ That actually gets his attention and he shifts to get closer to his own side. ]

[ladiesss]

Yeah, a real one.

[she knew it. sorry Tek, she's going to be using you as her street cred for a moment.]

Massive wings, sharp claws, shining scales, the whole deal. There's one hiding here in the fleet. We're friends.

[mysterzie]

No way.

[ That sounds amazing. Thoroughly awesome and now Aaron wants a secret dragon friend, too. ]

Does he breathe fire?

[ladiesss]

He actually doesn't! [she holds up a finger!] I was kind of disappointed at first, but it turns out he's a death dragon. So he can drool acid and stuff. It's totally wicked.

[mysterzie]

Can he spit it, too? Or—death. What does that mean? Is he a gigantic skeleton dragon?

[ladiesss]

Oh yeah. It eats through anything. [nodding.] No, but he's huge and dark colored, and he kind of looks like he's rotting even though he's really not. I mean... You kind of have to be there to really understand what it looks like.

[mysterzie]

You should introduce us. I know how to keep a secret.

[ladiesss]

Haha, no way. You gotta be smart.

I don't think he'd be that hard to find... But you've got to solve the mystery on your own.

[ Oh that's just mean. ]

What, is this like hazing or something? I'll figure it out.
