[True to her word, Natasha can be found at the gym on the Iskaulit in the morning. She's already dressed and warmed up. She looks like she means business, but less angry or troubled—not like some of her other recent turns at the gym—but she's serious enough to give someone second thoughts if they weren't entirely sure in the first place.

Who's up for a few rounds?]

[Natasha is fine leaving it at that for the time being, unless her sparring partner has more to say.

[Nope, seems not, since she says nothing else. Instead, the next morning, Laura comes walking in, green eyes scanning the room. She's probably not what anyone would expect in a sparing partner, considering she's seventeen and all of 5 feet tall. She does carry herself in the way a fighter would though, dressed in a simple black tanktop and loose fitting shorts.]

[It's the way Laura carries herself that makes her stand out to Natasha, not her stature. Natasha might be a little taller, significantly older, but she's been underestimated plenty of times based on her appearance too.

She knows what a girl with the right training and the right talent can do.]

I take it you're here for me.

[Laura took a moment to study the old woman before she nodded.]

Yes. My name is Laura.

[Natasha offers her hand to shake, projecting professionalism.]

You have any preference on the terms?

[Totally meant older! Whoops.]

[Laura shook her head at the question.]

Whatever requirements you prefer are fine.

[She looks the girl over again, assessing, before she nods.]

In that case, we'll go until someone taps out. No need to make it complicated.

[Which made Laura hesitate, as she realized that wouldn't be fair. Which made her feel a bit stupid, having just agreed to whatever terms the other would want.]

That will not work. Sorry.

[A beat.]

I have a healing factor. I will not need to...tap out.

[Not unless Nastasha broke her, anyway.]

[Natasha shrugs, not actually all that bothered by the idea and not all that inspired to change the terms.]

In that case, I guess you'll win.

[She smiles a little, maybe almost playful at the prospect of the a challenge.]

There are other reasons to tap out, though. Who knows? Maybe I'll inspire you.

[Again she thought this over before she nodded. Maybe she was right. Laura was more than willing for a chance to be surprised, at least.]

[And then she moved to take her spot opposite Natasha.]

[Natasha settles into her stance, confident and measured. Her experience shows, and he waits patiently as she sizes up her opponent, working through her possible attacks.

It's a little funny—she's gotten used to fighting people who are bigger than she is, stronger, usually outnumbering her. But it's not like she's forgotten how it goes.]
