Action: Blue Fish
Who: Cole and the crew of the Blue Fish
Broadcast: None
Action: Pathstone briefly, then Blue Fish
When: Now!
[Cole wakes up unlike mortals. He simply regains consciousness immediately, awareness of his surroundings flooding him and promptly sending him across the room in a panic.
His room has been changed. That... isn't so bad, but someone has touched his few precious belongings, left contempt and disdain soaking into the surfaces, cold regard and a veneer of understanding that you can't treat civilians like soldiers.
He gives a soft whine of distress and the slugs promptly follow suit.
Within five minutes, he's grabbed what few things matter to him and fled to the shuttles, taking one and flying straight to the Blue Fish, to the comfort and familiarity of someone who gets him.
He's looking for Riona, no surprise. More odd is that he doesn't wait into the landing bay, just bolts into the ship itself in puffs of smoke and surprised noises from the slugs.]

Meanwhile, Riona follows him, wondering what has his attention. From the corner of her eye, she spots the smoke. For a moment she panics, fearing a fire. That is, until she finally sees Cole.]
Cole?

[The moment he senses Riona he's flinging himself across the space to her, thick black green smoke clinging to him. He doesn't touch her, never touches without permission, but he's up in her space and his hands are clinging to his own shirt front, arms folded over his chest.]
I don't know how, I was in there, but it was like nothing, and it was all different and she felt so much contempt, it's everywhere.

Cole, it's all right. Take a deep breath for a moment.
[It's hard enough sometimes to understand him, given how he likes to talk. Him being panicked and upset does not help.]
You're saying someone went through your things and... rearranged them? Were you asleep when this happened?
no subject
She came into my room and changed everything. Hated it, disdain, filth, so much filth, make it clean make it Orderly, revolting, sentimental things, put them out of sight.
I don't sleep. But I was lying on my bed and things had changed. I don't remember lying down.

You may have fallen into one of those comas. They set on unexpectedly.
Now, was this a member of your ship's crew who did this? If so, then once you're calmer, speak with your captain and tell them what occurred.
no subject
I don't know who the captain is. Not since Jove and Tekhetsio left.
[Things like that don't really matter or occur to Cole.]
no subject
Well, let's try this: do you think speaking with the captain might work? Or do you suspect this woman would do it again, regardless of what she was told? You shouldn't have to share a ship with someone who goes through your things like that.
no subject
What sort of ship are they running, just because they're civilians is no excuse for this sort of slovenly state, has no one in this place heard of cleaning?
... I don't think she's going to care.
no subject
I'm sorry, Cole. Do you think it'd be viable to switch ships? It's awful for her to drive you away, but you shouldn't have to live with someone like that. "Slovenly" or not, your room is your room and she had no right.
no subject
[He knows people do it, but he's never actually found out how or thought about it.]
I don't think I own enough to be slovenly. My walls are painted.

It's just Crowley left. And... we aren't close.
[Not least of all because Cole refuses to believe he's a demon.]

Adalwolfe gave me some shoes! He said they would protect my feet, if I stepped on something sharp. They're like armour shoes. Boots. They cover my ankles. It's weird. And I have Elly's pictures. I need those. They're important.
no subject
[You're not being confined to a box Cole!]
And you'll have plenty of room for your shoes and pictures.
no subject
[He considers and nods.]
All right. I'd like to not live on Pathstone anymore, even though I'm fond of her.
no subject
I understand. I think you'll come to like the Blue Fish, in time. We have a good crew here. Would you like to leave your things here in the meantime, where they'll be safe?
no subject
Elly's pictures. You'll, keep them safe. Not touch them and leave contempt.
[He draws them out from his knife scabbard. Most are of pink flowers, but there's one which is clearly a family picture. Cullen, Jove, Elize and Cole.]
no subject
They'll be safe in my room until you come over. I swear it.
no subject
[He places them in her hands.]
Elly... reminded me of Bunny. Bunny would've been about Elly's age.

[She's reminded of Oren, her nephew, as she thinks about it. Pain lances through her heart. Children should not have to die so young, in any world.]
