video/action: Bloodsport OTA
Who: Bigby and anyone listening
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: On the Bloodsport
When: Now
[Having been unconscious for two weeks, when Bigby woke up he had promptly decided to take a couple of days to sleep it off. It's only now, after a shower and some food that he bothers to take to the comm.
He's in the shuttle bay, where his massive bulk fits best.]
I was thinking about starting some kind of immortals evening. Get together. Bitch about how things have changed over the last couple of centuries. Commiserate with others who get the whole 'living for fucking ages' thing, if that's what floats your boat.
Just finding it weird, being surrounded by so many mortals. Fables keep themselves to themselves. No point making friends with mortals for us. Anyone interested?

That does lead a little into what I wanted to ask you about, though.

[He sips from the drink, looking casual still, but there's something in his eyes that's just shuttered off slightly, wary.]
Yeah? This 'bout Sascha?

It's a bizarre picture, man]

[She taps a finger to the side of her neck.]
no subject
Yeah. Atroma and those things.

I could be a serious danger at a younger point. I got lucky. Kept my mind and was too young to be a danger.
What are you thinking?
no subject
[Honestly, Bigby? You're her worst case scenario. If you get changed to that younger point. She doesn't want anyone to die, and she doesn't want anyone to pin blame where it's not warranted.]
no subject
I can get behind that. If I'm not the problem, I can probably take most things. If I am the problem...
[He doesn't actually know how to stop him.]
Hm. Well, I can be slowed down, force me to regenerate. But I really don't want the information of how to do that getting into some hands. There's a guy just itching for an excuse to 'put down' us 'monsters'.
no subject
I can understand that. If you were the problem, I guess it all depends on where you became the problem. Like-- if it were on this ship, we could probably just take off and leave you to the place until the glitch wore out its welcome.
Iskaulit's a different story, though. I guess I'm just hoping to stave off the inevitable slaughter that might end up taking place with the wrong kinds of glitches and the wrong kind of guy looking for a fight at the same time.

I can see why you'd want to stop that sort of thing. I'm just not sure what can be done. We'd need... a Fleet wide response plan, basically.
[He lights up, leaning back into the chair.]
And that would mean getting a lot of people to agree to a unified response. We couldn't manage it in Fabletown most of the time and this is more diverse than even that.
no subject
Ugh. [Yeah, she already knows that's doomed to fail.] Too many people, and too many kooks with their own vendettas. And the roster's always changing.
I'll start smaller. Let's keep people on this ship safe.
no subject
Hm.
well... we haven't done too bad a job. Sheol didn't do any permanent damage to anyone?
no subject
Though I think we should be thinking in a general sense. Who knows. The next person to get shuffled onto our ship might be a raging psychopath with god powers.
And there's you, yeah. [She gives him a blank look.] How bad could you get?
no subject
How bad could he get?]
When the Adversary decided to take the forest I lived in, I waged war against his troops. They were so scared that the merest hint of a howl on the winds would have some of them pissing themselves. He sent an army in with torches to burn me out. By the morning, the forest still stood, the army was spread around the woods as a warning and I was sleeping comfortably in my den, while the nearby city and castle fell to half the number of troops.
[There's no real brag to it. He's too old and powerful to feel the need to brag. It simply is what it is. He's ancient and powerful and he's exceptionally good at waging campaigns of terror and death. Even as a pup, he had worked out the importance of deception in fighting.
It could get bad.]
Once, I let one in a hundred escape, to take the stories back to the others. When the Fables community was trying to build itself, they came to me and asked me to be their Sheriff, because I was the one thing that every last one of them feared.
It could be bad. But I've never done anything like that without having a reason. And I don't know how Atroma could twist things to make me wage that campaign against the Fleet.

Sounds like the best thing to do is just leave you alone to do your own thing.
no subject
Yeah. If I went bad... I'd probably stake out a territory and hold it. Anything coming in would be fair game, but I'm a wolf. So long as I had my own space and food, I can't imagine I'd care about much else.
If something else went bad... I could probably at least take the blows without much trouble.
no subject
[Well, she stops short of asking for it, but only a complete moron goes and sticks his head in a tetchy carnivore's mouth.]
no subject
[Because seriously, anyone who goes and pokes a giant wolf after being told not to deserves it.]
There anyone you're particularly worried about, aside from me?
