Who: Gemini & Open to the Bishop crew.
Broadcast: Nope
Action: S.S Bishop
When: Tuesday Evening
[It's now been well over a week since the Bishop's new security officer arrived in the usual burst of music and confetti...and stalked off without a word to anyone. Since then nobody will have seen so much as a peep of her; the office marked 'Gemini de Mille' remains completely untouched, the bed in her room obviously not slept in and the clothing locker unopened. Perhaps some of them might have heard sounds coming from the depths of the ship, tapping noises, faint slithery sounds emanating from the air ducts late at night, but that's the only hint of her continuing presence. However, even though the crew haven't seen her, Gemini has been watching them, listening in on conversations, intruding into private quarters, seeking to learn as much about her 'crewmates' as possible.
In fact there isn't a nook or cranny of the ship that she hasn't thoroughly explored, slipping behind walls, squeezing under the sparse furniture, oozing around the ship's wiring to see what leads where. Lately she's been exploring the plumbing system and discovered the ship's hot-water tank, and isn't that just heavenly? But she can't float around shapelessly in the tank forever, although the stubborn part of her likes to think she could, she's getting very bored very quickly. Eventually she'll have to talk to someone, and now seems as good a time as any.
The shower locker room is seemingly empty, but Gemini is there, blending seamlessly in, waiting impatiently for someone to come along, although she's unsure of what exactly she'll say...or even who she'll say it as.]

Eventually, he finds his way to the shower room - not really his favourite thing, ponies find baths a little easier in the whole cleanliness department. But still, needs must. In trots a little tan pony, whistling a happy tune to himself. ]

A section of bulkhead behind Cheese bulges something pushing out from the flat plate, gaining human form, colours and textures until a moment later Gemini leans against the wall in black and silver costume, clearing her throat to get the pony's attention.]
For someone who's been kidnapped onto some rustbucket alien ship you're very chipper.
no subject
Eh, this place isn't so bad. I mean, almost nothing ever tries to kill or physiologically torture us every month so I'm good.
You're the new cremate, right?
no subject
Don't ponies...I'm assuming you are one, prefer meadows to being locked up in a tin-can?
Yes, and you're Cheese Sandwich [Is her simple answer, making no move to give him her own name, a slight sneer in her voice as she speaks his name.]
no subject
[The smile fades a little, turning a touch more disgruntled. People mistaking him for what is an animal in most worlds is always something of a chip of his shoulder. ]
The one and only. And you're Gemini, right? Your name was on the ship's roster.
no subject
[The question was distinctly snide in tone as she pushes off the wall to wander towards Cheese, circling him assessingly, much as a hunter would its prey.]
That's me. Apparently I'm supposed to be the Security Officer.
no subject
[He eyes her carefully, but the smile remains. ]
Really? That's neat! So if we ever get attacked again, you'll have our backs, huh?
no subject
[That's the closest she's getting to sympathy. His question immediately grabs her attention and she circles closer, looking curious zeroing in on what grabbed her attention.]
The ship's been attacked before?
no subject
[He nods. It's a story he's used to retelling, and if she's in charge of keeping the ship safe, it's only right she should know.]
Yeah. Twice, though I was only around for the first one. There were these other ships that attacked about a year ago. Never responded to hails, nothing. Just attacked. The last time, they knock us all into a nebula, where we lost power for a while. Then they just flew off again.
no subject
This tub has shields right? Couldn't you fight them off? [The Augment's already told her all about the ship's weapons, what she wantys to know is what their chances are.]
no subject
[He frowned, shaking his head. ]
The shields are only here when we have an engineer on board- luckily, we did at the time, the others ships...some of them weren't so lucky. Just like weapons, we only have those because you're here. Without a security officer, bye bye weapons.
no subject
I see, that makes sense I suppose. I guess I should practice with the weapons then in case they return, you're the pilot aren't you. [It's not a question because she's been watching you at work Cheese.] Any asteroids around here we can test them on?
no subject
That's probably a good idea. And...well, yeah sure, I guess I can fly the ship that direction, if you wanna give it a whirl.
no subject
Let me know when and I'll be on the bridge.

[She smiles darkly and then turns towards the showers, her costume shifting into a fluffy white bathrobe. It's Jacuzzi time now apparently.]
no subject
But right now he's not thinking about anything nearly so weighty. Instead, he's...preoccupied with his hair, pulling it out of its braid as he enters the room.]
no subject
Gemini did not make any move to reveal herself, because hey a girl can enjoy the view can't she?]
no subject
He gets as far as removing his shirt before he freezes, canting his head lightly to the side. Whether he's actually sensing something or it's simply a soldier's instincts kicking in, he has the distinct feeling that he's being watched.
He turns around, glancing about the empty room, and then ducks his head into (equally empty) shower room, looking increasingly puzzled.]
And now I may add paranoia to my list of finer qualities. Wonderful.
no subject
He obviously isn't human so perhaps that's it, that or a warrior's instinct. She watches him as he checks the room, then uses the opportunity as he ducks into the shower room to quickly make the shift to herself, clad in a soft white robe, meeting his words with an inquisitive smile and raised eyebrow.]
Paranoia about what?
no subject
It is the strangest thing; I could not shake the feeling I was being watched.
[But now that he's established he's not completely oblivious, his tone shifts into something a little more innocuous and friendly.]
You must be the new crew member, then. You have made yourself scarce.
no subject
Really? That's worrying.
[She glances around a little anxiously, pulling her bathrobe a little tighter, his friendly tone (and being shirtless) making her a little flustered, running a hand through black locks nervously. No shapeshifting assassins here!]
I'm Gemini, I don't really do well with people. [That much is true.]
no subject
[Oh, no. She had best not get flustered or he's going to get all awkward and this is going to go downhill very quickly. For the moment, he seems fine, though, dutifully ignoring the fact that he's talking to a woman clad only in a bathrobe.]
Ah, well. I can hardly blame you, then; arriving in this place may be rather disorienting, even under the best of circumstances, but I am glad to meet you at last. Most here call me Finrod. You are welcome to do the same.
['Most' being the key term here because some of his relatives are about. You will hear a few odd elven names tossed about at some point.]
no subject
[She appears to recover her composure a little, still looking at Finrod shyly, her eyes flitting away whenever it seems like their gazes might meet for too long. It's not hard to act a little taken with him because even though golden haired isn't normally her type, with those looks who wouldn't be?.]
That's very kind of you, you're the captain right? [She's staring a little at the tips of his ears, trying to ease as much information out of him as she can.]
Are you human?
no subject
[He doesn't sound certain about that, though.]
I am the captain, yes, and in that capacity, my door is always open to you. [She really doesn't need to 'ease information' out of him, in this case. He's completely willing (and surprisingly used to) explaining his origins by this point and doesn't seem to take offense at all.]
No, I am not. I am the first of my kind that you have met, then? I am counted among the Eldar. The term most likely known to you is 'elf.'
no subject
That's very kind of you Finrod, I'll be sure to remember that. [In fact the door's open to her whenever she wants, having squeezed under it a day before to examine it's contents while Finrod was sleeping. But she won't be mentioning that.]
You don't seem so different. [She's circles around, looking him up and down with a shapeshifter's eye for detail.] Two arms two legs, pointy ears though, looks which are too good to be human and a certain air...I thought elves were mythical, but then so are talking ponies.

I'm sure, I suppose we all adapt sooner or later. Does the ship have any problems I should know about? Anyone on the crew who's not very friendly? [She asks, changing tack to steer the conversation towards the others on the ship.]

no subject
Perhaps being trapped here isn't so bad after all. Particularly if all the guys are as hot as you. [She blushes a little, blinking slyly.]
no subject
You flatter me. [Moving awkwardly on-]
Caution is still merited here, of course, but I hope we are able to lessen the blow, somewhat.
no subject
I hope so too, although having a luxury jacuzzi on board helps and speaking of that... [She turns toward the jacuzzi cubicle, sauntering away with swinging hips.]
It's been nice talking to you Finrod, guess I'll see you around.
no subject
He makes his way into the locker room and he moves, returning to his place against the wall, crossing his arms and tilting his head up. One hand goes to adjust the hat on his head before he shakes his head, lips curling into an almost-there smirk - mostly because this is going to be fun. ]
Y'know, some people don't like being spied on.
no subject
Gemini hadn't noticed anyone enter, although she had thought she heard something, but that whisper of a voice was undeniable. For a moment she peered at the room, senses straining, and as she did she thought she saw a figure leaning against a wall, barely visible, but there.
In response the wall bulges, an oval shape pushing out from it, grey metal warping into pale flesh until a lifelike face glares angrily from the middle of the wall.]
Who and what the hell are you?
no subject
[ Zaveid doesn't move from his spot; there's no need for him to move an inch when it's obvious that she can't see him. All he has to do is stand there, getting some kind of, perhaps unfair, amusement out of her discomfort. She does have it coming, considering her own tendencies, and he will put her out of her misery... Eventually.
Instead of confessing to himself, he just tsks, shrugging an invisible shoulder. ]
The name's Zaveid.
no subject
Zaveid. [She tests the name, glaring about the room as she tries to see where exactly the voice is coming from, enhancing her senses of smell and hearing, searching.]
You can make yourself invisible? Neat trick, won't help you though. [Two tentacles sprout from the wall, one winding to the left the other to the right, looping around the room seeking to find and coil around the mystery speaker.]
no subject
(Maybe not Sorey, or Lailah. Maybe just Dezel and Mikleo.) ]
I'm not invisible. You just can't see me.
[ He takes a step to one side, avoiding the walls and shifting to summon his wind to himself, mostly a barrier to make sure that nothing goes wrong. It's enough to keep his senses on alert, and his lips curl into a grin. ]
Besides, it's a little hypocritical to talk about people hiding and being invisible when you're sneaking around, isn't it?
no subject
I'll give you hypocritical.
[Her tentacle arms whip out fast, stretching and coiling towards where she judges the winds that have blown up are concentrated, believing she'd find the owner of the voice there.]
How long have you been watching me?
no subject
Will her weird arms be able to touch him? Who knows. ]
Now, now, that's no way for a lady to behave.
[ Windstepping to the side, Zaveid darts out the way, hair whirling behind him. ]
How long have you been watching everyone else, huh?
no subject
A man would face me openly. [She taunts, her tentacle-arms dividing, two becoming four, becoming eight, each one whipping around like an angry boneless serpent as Gemini growls in frustration.]
I'm a spy. It's what I do.
no subject
Hey, it's not my fault you can't see me. Maybe you should try a little harder.
[ And, honestly, it really isn't his fault; it's not as if he can help being a seraphim. He just has to deal with it, the same way that everyone else does. He has more experience, that's all. ]
People aren't gonna be too happy when they find out.
no subject
Oh I will.
[She is determined to find him and so retracts her arms back into normal human limbs, heightening her vision as much as she can, scanning the room, her gaze locking onto a hazy something near the door.]
I'd rather they didn't.
no subject
Ooh, I'm excited.
[ His arms cross over his chest again, and Zaveid watches as she does her best to look for him. Unless she works on her resonance he's going to keep being invisible, which will be hilarious... Until she finally sees him. ]
Then maybe you should give it a break.
no subject
[That sound is Gemini grinding her teeth. She's been caught out and has no idea what to do. She'll come up with a plan eventually but for the moment she's on the back foot and has little choice, except to lie.]
I suppose I'll have to.
no subject
[ It's so easy to tease and push buttons, but Zaveid knows he has to be careful. Huffing out a noise, he just shakes his head. ]
I'll be watching.
no subject
[Her jaw clenches, the look that she gives the seemingly empty room is enough to burn through steel, she's visibly seething, fists flexing, really wanting to break something or ideally someone.
Instead her body stretches and thins, shooting up into a nearby air vent and vanishing. He can't watch her there...can he? Now she's the one who's going to be paranoid.]
