[Poe hanging out in the cockpit of one of the shuttles, looking relaxed and happy. He's in his element.]

Anyone interested in checking out the wreck: I've been working on getting a visual aerial map going and I can transport people and equipment by shuttle. Of course... can't really land at it, but if you're up for an airdrop or a long rappel down, I can get you there. And pick you up later if you're not scared of heights.

Any other pilots, I can send over my notes. Just... don't try this at home.

[And good to his word, he'll give anyone a ride or carry their equipment for them. Or pick people up. You might even see him at the site itself now and then, but he's more interested in facilitating the explorers than poking around too much himself.]

[Poe hops out of his shuttle. He's always nicely visible thanks to his love for the color orange.]

Kara!

[Girl, you're getting a hug.]

You ready to go? We can do the grand aerial tour.

Hell yeah! Just tell me what you want me to do.

Just hold on tight!

[ She'll put an arm across his back, positioning his arm over her shoulders and stabilizing it with her far hand. Then she lifts him like it's nothing, and they start to rise! ]

[He does as he's told, taking a good grip. There's a moment of total surprise when they lift off -- yeah, he knew Kara could do this, but didn't have any idea how it would be. Then he grins.]

[ she's grinning back at him ]

[ WELL THEN HOLD ONTO YOUR BUTT, POE. they're going to burst forward, going faster and swooping around, between trees and then above the treeline as well ]

Poe is a pilot to the core. His reaction is a startled, but happy, whoop, without a hint of fear. This is making his day.]

[You thought he was yelling loud for the speed, but it's nothing compared to the whoops of sheer joy when there's the aerial tricks.

As soon as they're on the ground, Kara's getting pounded enthusiastically on the back.]

Parts, mostly, that differ from what I'm used to seeing. I've taken some over to...[Hux]...a friend to examine. He knows a lot about fleet type ships.

[But "friend" isn't the right word. He had been a friend when they were children; now he is someone she knows she cannot fully trust. Ever. He has done such horrible things, but if she can learn from him, well, that's a leg up, isn't it? Rey has never bitten a helpful hand unless she felt she didn't need help.]

Yeah, I don't really recognize much of anything in the engineering here, but all I've ever really worked on was my mom's A-Wing or my own X-Wing. Who's the friend?

Orange things! They're big and... [ Hawke frowns, glancing over her shoulder. ] Hang on, I'll show you.

[ Suddenly all the image is a series of grass and movement blurs until finally settling on a rather large orange pumpkin. ]

That's a pumpkin.

[Taking in the relative size.] Yeah, that's pretty big. What do you do with them?

[ She turns the camera around to face her again, brows furrowing in something of a disappointed look. ]

Cook them, obviously. They're vegetables, you can make them into soup or put in stew or roast them over a fire.

[ Wow Poe it's like you didn't live near any sort of farm or anything. ]

[Well, not that kind of farm and not those kind of vegetables.]

Oh, gotcha. Vegetables. Definitely a good idea to pack as many of those into the hold as we can, then. They keep pretty well?
