[001 🐚 Video]
Who: Jeyne
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: Marsiva
When: 20th
[She should feel used to being told nothing. Her mother had prepared her for a life without answers and a lack of control in her future. It shouldn't surprise her to be taken away from her entourage and brought to a world not of her choosing, but there is nothing that could prepare her for this place. How did any of this happen? How did she go from being surrounded by an armed escort to being utterly alone in a foreign environment.
Stranger still, there was sense of understanding about where she found herself. This was space and she was on a ship among the stars. It would be simpler if this was a kidnapping, but it was something more than that, she knew that deep in her gut.
Disconcertingly, there was no one about, no one that she could question. Why would anyone want to watch her and what exactly were ratings? Why did she need to participate in whatever entertainment they had planned? More importantly, how did she know things that she never knew before?
Searching did little good. There was no one in authority and the place seemed to be silent, save for the music and screens playing in the background. There was at least one other option, if it could manage to bear fruit.
Fumbling with the device, Jeyne managed to turn it on, twisting it around until she was certain that she appeared front and center, clear for everyone to see.]
I can't seem to find anyone to tell me why I'm here. I keep hearing from the strange screens that I'm in some sort of game or performance, but that doesn't make sense. Why were we chosen and how did they bring us here?
My name is Jeyne. Can someone please help me?

My name is Jeyne. Can someone please help me?

video
Riona prepares her usual spiel, but stops when the newcomer's name sinks in.
What were the chances she's the same Jeyne that she's heard of?]
Hello, Lady Jeyne. [She offers a comforting smile.] Unfortunately, no one here has any good answers. You've been brought here by Atroma, and whatever their reasons are for bringing certain people here are known only to them. And how they do so is just as mysterious. It's something we'd all like to know.
[Sadly, those are the only answers she's got.]
If you do not mind my asking, are you by chance from a place called Westeros?
video
She smiles at the young woman, considering her beautiful features and warm countenance. If she was to meet someone over this device, at least it was someone that seemed friendly and kind.]
Atroma? I have heard the name, but I can't quite figure out if they are men or something else. So we are to participate in their performance, but without any direction to guide us? That seems rather poorly planned.
[Surprise flashes across her features, soon replaced by relief.]
Yes! I lived in the Westerlands, I'm from the Crag. You know of Westeros? Are you from there?
[She didn't seem to have an accent that Jeyne recognized.]
video
[Diamond's shrill voice comes to mind. Atroma has cronies, if nothing else.]
Do not think of it so much of a performance. There are no lines or script here. They throw us together and see what happens. When you have so many disparate personalities here, things do tend to happen.
[Some good, some bad. And a few dangerous.
When she confirms she's from Westeros, Riona smiles. It has to be her then, right?]
No, I am not, but there are a number of people from there, including a young man named Robb Stark. You wouldn't by chance know him, would you?
video
...this was picking at an open wound.
First they mended her gown on her arrival, the gown she had torn purposefully in mourning, now the memory of her husband is paraded in front of her.
She doesn't hide her tears or the evident pain on her face. If this is what these Atroma men have wanted, they struck well and true.]
Robb is dead. Please, don't tease me with his memory.
video
Lady Jeyne, I did not bring him up to hurt you. I did so because he is here, and he is alive.
[Which will undoubtedly raise confusion, so she continues.]
Atroma has the capability of bringing people from different worlds. It - or they - can also bring people from different points in time. Robb was brought here from before his death. Some of his siblings are here, too, and they had already known of what will happen to him.
video
If you jape with my, my lady... [What could she say that would be an adequate warning? She was incapable of actually striking a person. She hadn't been able to strike her mother when she stole the crown Robb had given her. She hadn't attacked the Kingslayer on sight.
So what could she do to anyone abusing Robb's memory with such a lie?
If it was a lie. Gods, but what if it was true?]
Where is he? If he is here, then I want to see him.
[She felt breathless at the idea. How many nights had passed since he left that she didn't imagine him walking through the doors of Riverrun? She heard his voice in the night, sometimes certain he was right beside her, only to wake and there be nothing. She couldn't suffer that pain again, not here as well.]
How do you know Robb? Who are you?
video
[Jeyne's request makes her pause. Damn, of all the times for Robb to be in one of those comas! Then again, just because he was asleep, didn't mean Jeyne couldn't see him...]
You will not be able to see him in person until you are shuffled. Newcomers remain on the Marsiva - the ship you're on - until Atroma sends you to one of the other ships. We have no means of boarding the Marsiva from the outside. It shouldn't be for more than a few days until you're assigned to one of the ships. That's how I met Robb; we were put on the same ship.
Robb is... asleep right now. And I doubt I'll be able to wake him. [As much as she wishes she could] But I can show you him through this device, like how you're seeing me now. Would that be all right?
video
Gods, but these Atroma men are cruel. Robb is on a ship, but I can't physically go to him until they deign to move me?
[Her greatest wish was given to her, but it was just out of reach.]
Asleep? Why can't he wake? [Her heart seized in her chest.] Is he ill? Does he have a fever? [Seven Hells! Why was she not able to be with him?!]
Please, show me. Let me see him.
video
He's fallen into a coma. [Riona gets up and begins to move towards Robb's room.] It happens from time to time to people here. For some strange reason, Atroma will send someone into a sleep for days or weeks. We really don't know why. It happened to me a few months ago, and now it seems it's Robb's turn.
[She nudges his door open, calling out just in case he did wake up and wasn't decent. Her heart sinks when she hears nothing.]
Do not worry. He'll be all right. I know his sister looks after him, as do others on the ship. I've checked in on him a few times myself.
[With a flick of her wrist, the lights turn on. She aims the camera at Robb's sleeping form. He's out cold, even as Riona calls to him. She swears under her breath. But at least Jeyne could see him. And Riona gently moves his blanket back, so his wife could see his chest rise and fall: a clear sign of life.]
video
[She is willing to beg on her knees, if need be. She hasn't seen any signs of these Atroma, but someone was watching. Why else were they brought here, if not for the amusement of others? She didn't have so much pride that she wouldn't tearfully beseech these higher powers to let her be with her husband.
They somehow brought them together again, they couldn't keep them apart permanently.]
When did he fall into this coma? You weren't injured or ill when you fell asleep? Are you certain?
[She stares in amazement and wonder as he appears on the screen. He looked so real, just as he was when he left for Riverrun. The sight of his sleeping form brought a rush of memories, both painful and bittersweet. She could remember the warmth of his body and the feel of his arms around her, their nights filled with passion and love as they shut away the rest of the world, finding the bit of sweetness that still existed in the world.
He needed her now, as much as he had when his brothers died. Yet she couldn't look after him or be at his side. It hurt, a worse torture than anything she could imagine before.]
Thank you. [For the first time since his death, her tears could be mixed with a smile.] Gods...I can't believe it. I stayed true to him. It didn't matter that he...died. I love him.

From what I can guess? We're either picked at random or picked because we bring a whole boatload of drama and personal issues to the table. Prooobably more of the last one.
Hey Jeyne, I'm Sokka.
Video
Sokka? Am I saying it right?
[It sounded like something from across the Narrow Sea. She didn't want to offend him by bungling his name like oafish noble.
If he was right, she can easily imagine why she was chosen then.]
That...clears matters for me, a great deal more than I thought.
Video
[People have got it much more wrong. Some people still do. ]
I know it's pretty rough, at first. But you get used to it, eventually. You got any more questions? I've been here a while, so I should be able to answer most of 'em.
Video
[He was being kind to her, the least she could do was get his name right.]
Is it possible to leave this place they brought me? Is there somewhere more comfortable where I could stay?
[Some place with more people.]
It's too quiet here.
Video
...You're not, right?
[...Nah, she can't be. ]
Not at the moment, but in a couple of days, you'll be moved from the Marsiva and be assigned to one of the smaller ships. You can probably see us out of the window, there's about thirteen of us. Until then, you're kinda stuck there. Sorry, I know it sucks when no one else is there.
Video
But beyond her guilt, she wants to be free of this disconcerting ship.]
No. [Lies!] I have not committed murder. [More lies!]
How do they determine where I'll be moved? Do they bring us here with certain places in mind?
[If what he was saying was true, they'd put her somewhere that would cause emotional turmoil. Some place where those who are watching them will find entertainment.]
May I ask what ship you are on?
Video
Then we're okay! And honestly? It seems pretty arbitrary. Luckily, if you don't like the ship you get, you can transfer to another one.
[His smile widens, full of pride. ]
The Blue Fish. I'm the captain, actually. It's a pretty awesome ship.
Video
[Perhaps loyalty and service didn't matter as much in this place as it did in Westeros?]
Captain Sokka? Forgive me, but you seem a bit young to be a captain.
[He's her age, but she'll still point out the obvious.]
Why is the Blue Fish "awesome"?
Video
[That gets a soft chuckle out of him. ]
I get that a lot. I'm twenty one now, actually. I just don't look it.
[Because people don't age here. It's annoying. Still, Allen has it worse off than he does. Can't grumble. ]
Because we look out for one another. Okay, and I'm sure the other ships do, too, but I got a soft spot for mine, and my crew.

Lady Jeyne? [Pretty name, for a pretty girl. Jon is courteous enough to name her a lady, but wary as well, guarded and suspicious.] I'm Jon Snow. As for your questions: no one knows how we came here, and as best as I can tell, we were only chosen because the Atroma--our captors--thought we would be entertaining.
It gives her a sense of hope. There is someone that she could trust, someone that understood her fears for Robb and how important it is to keep him safe in this place.]
Jon? [She's going to ignore formality in this case. He was her brother now as well.] Help me, please! I need to get off this ship! I can't leave Robb alone, not while he is sleeping and unable to wake. There has to be a way for me to go to him! I can't wait until they deign to shuffle me!
Help me, she'd begged. He thinks of Gilly, eyes wet and wide. Gilly, who'd come to Sam for help, who had to be turned down because they couldn't help her. He huffs out a breath.]
My lady, I--
[He stops. Huffs out a breath, and for a moment he looks so, so tired, so much older than his seventeen years. This is not news she'll receive gladly, he expects.]
I can't help you get off that ship. I don't know how to get there, most of us don't, there's no way we can board it. But once you've been assigned to another I can take you to see Robb.
She could see how tired and strained he was, bearing the same weight about him that Robb did. Her heart went out to him, feeling a pang of regret for troubling him with her fears.]
He is truly there? [Riona and Sokka had said as much, and she wanted very much to believe them, but this was a place of contradictions and games. The image that she saw on the box could be false. Perhaps even Jon wasn't there, but why would someone pretend to be him when she had never seen his face before? Of all the people to use against her, it didn't seem likely that Jon would be among them.]
Forgive me, I don't mean to overwhelm you.
[And Jon knows what he's talking about, there--he'd slept for nearly a week himself, after all, and it's only been a few days since he woke back up. He wonders how Robb would feel, were he to wake and see his wife at his bedside. Glad, he hopes. Robb needs some happiness in his life.
He shakes his head, summons up a smile. It's a wan smile, and one that vanishes as soon as it appears and probably doesn't really do its job all that well, but at least he's trying to be reassuring.]
No, it's fine. You need not worry about me, either, I can get by. [Truth be told, he hadn't even expected her to worry about him, the bastard half-brother. He's surprised that she is.] It isn't so bad here.
[He certainly belonged with them. From the way that Robb had spoken of Jon, she didn't doubt that they were close. There had always been admiration in his voice, as well as longing. She couldn't imagine how being separated from a brother...not until she lost Raynald.
The smile only raises her concern and worry for him. He was her brother now as well.]
It isn't? I never expected anyone to say that, not while knowing that we are being watched for entertainment.
[She regards him for a moment, debating whether or not to speak so frankly.]
I had hoped for the chance to meet you.
