[Erik is the one visible on screen, and he doesn’t look pleased about it at all. He jerks his chin towards the wall next to him, irritated.]

Because it’s your idea, and I don’t want to.

[the huff that follows is a little on the growly side]

I’m here to open paths, not send out messages. [As if to punctuate this point, Erik turns away from the camera and swipes his hand through the air. The metal wall crumples to the side with a shriek, curling up on itself like a ringpull.

The camera shifts off of Erik with a muttered "show off" to the plant life spilling out of the side of the hull, and a clawed, blue foot comes into frame to poke at a nearby pumpkin]

In any case - Erik and I are at the crashed ship, if anyone would like us to bring some of these back. If you're interested, feel free to message one of us.

As for the ship - if anyone else is planning to come out here, be careful. There's ways into the ship, but it has been here a while, so it's falling apart. We'll try to get some information about the signal while we're here, though so far we haven't had much luck.

[the camera moves back to Erik]

[Erik’s mostly occupied with pointing his flashlight into the gloom of the area beyond the wall. He does give a curt response.]

No requests for pumpkins bigger than the usual Earth-size.

[ he puts his hand to his lips and leans closer like he's about to whisper a secret. ]

Me too. [ he was following up on hank's joke - unless it wasn't a joke? cuz winn 10000% thinks hank is one of the most fun people he's ever met, he knows that, right? ] Unless you're saying you were really offended back there cuz I would like to point out I never said you're not fun.

If I was really offended, you would know.

[he takes most things in stride, and he knows when it's joking and not something more serious. Besides, Winn gave him proof that he had a sense of humor]

[ he can be a little thick at times. rubbing the back of his head. ]

Either way, feels like 'you're one of the best friends I've ever had' could stand saying here. [ he never wants to offend hank, not even by accident. he really has been joking a lot with him lately, he owes him a little seriousness. ]

[this is coming from someone who can also be thick at times. Still, he ducks his head a bit with a smile]

I'm not likely to forget that anytime soon.

[ he returns the smile ]

[he isn't going to forget, but he doesn't mind the reminders, either. He turns the camera after a moment to the pumpkins]

I already promised data, but do you want a pumpkin? Better speak up now.

Well since you're offering - [ he's definitely not going to refuse a pumpkin! ]

It's October. [he's not much for Halloween but he knows other people might be]

I didn't get to help you out with the masquerade [ mostly because it's only at the masquerade that they really bonded ] but if you need me to hook you up now, I'll be happy to.

[ of course he and cisco are going to dress up, come on. ]

[he glances down at himself, then back up to the screen, eyebrows raised]

I already have a costume.

[ha ha, he's so funny]

It was never true, if it's just the way you look it's not a costume. I couldn't call what I have on a costume even if I ended up in a planet of purple feathery people.

Besides, I wouldn't - go as me, if I even bother. I'd do something using - what I look like. Someone asked if I was a werewolf, for example. I could do something with that.

He doesn't know better, trust me here. Dressing up, goofing around, especially with friends - it's the best.

I don't know about the dressing up part, but I agree with the rest of that.

Dressing up together is part of the goofing around thing. I'm serious, I'll happily make you whatever costume you want, and it doesn't have to go with blue. Halloween's about being something else, you know? [ it's why he loves it so much. one day a year he doesn't have to be himself. ]
