[when the feed opens, the network is gifted with the bickering of two men]

I don't see why you can't do this.

[Erik is the one visible on screen, and he doesn’t look pleased about it at all. He jerks his chin towards the wall next to him, irritated.]

Because it’s your idea, and I don’t want to.

[the huff that follows is a little on the growly side]

I’m here to open paths, not send out messages. [As if to punctuate this point, Erik turns away from the camera and swipes his hand through the air. The metal wall crumples to the side with a shriek, curling up on itself like a ringpull.

The camera shifts off of Erik with a muttered "show off" to the plant life spilling out of the side of the hull, and a clawed, blue foot comes into frame to poke at a nearby pumpkin]

In any case - Erik and I are at the crashed ship, if anyone would like us to bring some of these back. If you're interested, feel free to message one of us.

As for the ship - if anyone else is planning to come out here, be careful. There's ways into the ship, but it has been here a while, so it's falling apart. We'll try to get some information about the signal while we're here, though so far we haven't had much luck.

[the camera moves back to Erik]

[Erik’s mostly occupied with pointing his flashlight into the gloom of the area beyond the wall. He does give a curt response.]

No requests for pumpkins bigger than the usual Earth-size.

It would be an... interesting trend. [To say the least. He continues picking his way over the floor, and prods at one of the fruit-laden vines.]

I feel like I've seen stranger. [But it would be pretty strange and or interesting.] How's the exploring going? Is there something you're looking for in particular?

[exothermia]

Hank wanted to find the source of that broadcast signal. [Erik is just along as help. Now that he's here, he's finding it more intriguing, despite himself.]

Just killing time? [It doesn't sound like a very Magneto-y thing to her, but then he's good at surprising her like that.]

[exothermia]

In a sense. [He could argue that everything they do here is killing time, but he hardly thinks Kitty needs reminding of that.]

Given the circumstances, it was worth looking into.

[passingthrough]

[There is that.]

At face value it certainly is. [She just can't take anything here at face value. And yet that doesn't mean nothing is as it seems.]

[exothermia]

That's all we have to go on, unfortunately.

Yeah. Kind of have to work with the reality we're given. [Still so easy to doubt it after coming from a place where she was held in virtual reality for so long without realizing it.]

[He wonders himself, sometimes, what the nature is of their bodies here. After 'going back home' for ten years only to hear that his physical self never left... it's an open question.]

I think I'm starting to forget what things are supposed to make sense and what aren't. [She's seen a little bit of everything.]

Tell me about it. Anyway, now that I've thoroughly teased Hank I should probably let you both get back to the business of seeing if there is anything useful or important out there. [And because this conversation dips between awkward and strained and normal and sometimes the normal is the hardest part because she's not sure she should be forgiving and moving on with something like what he did.]

[exothermia]

[He nods, and after an awkward pause, simply cuts the feed. One day he'll get better at this.]
