[Frankly, this last shuffle could go to Tartarus in a wicker basket and a card reading "Dear Tirek: Dig In." But if there's one thing that could bring some joy back to Pinkie after losing a friend, it was making others happy. Especially by throwing a birthday party she'd been planning for months, and doubly especially for the love of her life, and someone who lifted her up after the hard weekend. So early-ish in the morning, those who Pinkie knew to be Cheese's close friends would get a video message.]

Morning, everybody~! Pinkie Pie here, and I've got a super DUPER special birthday I need help celebrating today! My super duper co-party planner and even super-duper-er special somepony Cheesy turns another year older today, so come by the Iskaulit for lots of cake and punch and games! See you there~

[Indeed, Pinkie pulled out as many stops as she could for this one. There's a vast and varied snack bar (vegetarian of course) featuring fondue and chips and dip and pizzas, a literal rainbow of punchbowls, and as many non-dice party games as you can shake a tail at. And the centerpiece is a pretty dang big chocolate cake with a frosting in the image of Cheese's Party Howitzer, Boneless 2 riding on top like a proud general. (She wanted it to be colossal but flour's been at a premium and the last of it went into this beauty.) Come on in, guys, and give the Fleet's first party pony some love back.]

[Cheese...might not admit this to most people, but this is his first ever actual birthday party. He never really got any as a foal, self-sequestered from society as he was. Even when he learned his place in the world- that he could use parties to make others happy, even then, he never really did anything for himself.

That'd just be weird.

As such, he'll be sitting somewhere on the outskirts, smiling a little tentatively and looking at that insane centerpiece. Wow, she really did go all out on this. Still, as much as this is HIS party, he's happy to stay put unless he's pulled elsewhere. Turns out the super duper party pony is actually a massive wallflower when he's not running the show. ]

[He may have only recently woke up from a long nap, but how could Finn pass up this opportunity? Sure, he's only met Cheese a couple times but he's a nice enough pony, and more importantly he's Pinkie's boyfriend. So as soon as he gets the chance, he ducks in.]

Ha! This is crazy, Pinkie. [He says it approvingly.] It looks great.

[Of course, he's not going to pass up the birthday boy. Colt? Stallion? Whatever. Finn spots Cheese and heads over, pulling out a small package from his pocket and handing it to him.]

Heard it was your birthday.

[Inside is a simple friendship bracelet made of thread the yellow of Cheese's coat and the dull red familiar from Finn's ever-present flight jacket (don't worry his jacket is synth leather, the real stuff is too expensive).]

[Cheese and Vash have only had passing conversations here and there, but he still shows up, because he really wouldn't mind getting to know the pony better and say:] Happy birthday! And many more!

[Well, butterflies like flowers, which must be why this social butterfly is coming over.]

Why hello, Mr. Stallion of the Hour, how are you~?

[Stallion, definitely stallion. He wasn't expecting gifts, or rather, he forgot that was a part of it. He smiles, taking it. ]

Oh wow, thanks, Finn!

[He'll open it up, beaming at it. Wow, look at that, a gift just for him. He'll get it onto a foreleg, how? Who knows, don't question tiny horses.]

This is...really neat!

[Cheese will beam brightly up at Vash.]

Thanks, buddy! I didn't expect such a turnout.

[Because he doesn't think his social skills are good enough to bring people in all honesty. ]

[She is so good and perfect to him. He offers her a smile. ]

Pretty okay. This is...really amazing, Pinkie. Thank you. Best birthday party ever.

It is? YES, I'm so glad! [Glomp!] It's my first time throwing a party for my special somepony, after all; had to make sure it's perfect, right?

[His smile softens even more, he's so happy. ]

It is perfect. Absitively perfect in every way!

[It's the simplest thing you can make at fun time craft hour, but considering he's altogether new at the whole "presents" thing (and that's he's 100% sure a pony can magically wear a bracelet), it's worth a shot. And he looks thrilled that Cheese seems to like it.]

It's a friendship bracelet, see? You're supposed to make a wish and wear it, and then when it falls off your wish comes true. But it has to fall off naturally, you can't loosen it after you tie it or it doesn't count.

[...he might be mixing up a few traditions here.]

A guy as kind as you who is always throwing parties for people and trying to cheer people up all the time? Sorry, buddy, but you were doomed from the start to have a lot of people show up.

[That...sounds convoluted, but Cheese kind of sucks at friendship, so he'll take that as gospel, nodding.]

[He'll scrunch his face in concentration. Wish making is serious business. ]

[Well, she can't just not go to pony parties. Apparently. But seriously, what do you get a pony? She just kept thinking "a cheese sandwich." It seemed a little on the nose. Or technically on the hip. Rump? But she manages a something on and wraps it and everything. She's surprised to see Cheese looking less center of attention that she might have guessed from the guest of honor, but she heads his way.]

Happy birthday. I hear it's a super duper one.

[Nuzzle nuzzle-- oh yeah!]

Ooh! AND I've got a present for you too~

[He sounds surprised and excited, of course she has, Cheese, come on, dude. ]

[Aww, Kitty. He smiles up at her, genuinely happy at least, even with his epic wallflowering. ]

Thank you! You know, it really is. Pinkie went all out for me.

Well of course I have, it wouldn't be your birthday without presents, right?

[And with a wink she produces a brightly wrapped package. Whatever could be inside?]

She has a lot of practice. Feels like everyone's had a birthday by now. [Except probably not.]
