[Frankly, this last shuffle could go to Tartarus in a wicker basket and a card reading "Dear Tirek: Dig In." But if there's one thing that could bring some joy back to Pinkie after losing a friend, it was making others happy. Especially by throwing a birthday party she'd been planning for months, and doubly especially for the love of her life, and someone who lifted her up after the hard weekend. So early-ish in the morning, those who Pinkie knew to be Cheese's close friends would get a video message.]

Morning, everybody~! Pinkie Pie here, and I've got a super DUPER special birthday I need help celebrating today! My super duper co-party planner and even super-duper-er special somepony Cheesy turns another year older today, so come by the Iskaulit for lots of cake and punch and games! See you there~

[Indeed, Pinkie pulled out as many stops as she could for this one. There's a vast and varied snack bar (vegetarian of course) featuring fondue and chips and dip and pizzas, a literal rainbow of punchbowls, and as many non-dice party games as you can shake a tail at. And the centerpiece is a pretty dang big chocolate cake with a frosting in the image of Cheese's Party Howitzer, Boneless 2 riding on top like a proud general. (She wanted it to be colossal but flour's been at a premium and the last of it went into this beauty.) Come on in, guys, and give the Fleet's first party pony some love back.]

[And with a wink she produces a brightly wrapped package. Whatever could be inside?]

[It takes considerable effort not to SHAKE IT. Instead, he carefully rips into it, just in case. After all, it's a gift from Pinkie. It could be literally anything. ]

[The box itself is actually pretty small, but softly lined and perfectly sized for the contents. It looks a lot like the top of the Key of Harmony, three balloons on wavy strings, laser-cut out of steel and polished til silvery. And balloon charm also hangs from a steel chain, equally shiny, if a bit too bulky for jewelry, and perfectly fitted for a pony neck.]

[He blinks down at it. Wow. Okay, so he hasn't had many gifts to compare it to, but this is the best gift he's ever got. In fact, it's ruined all future gifts by its sheer awesomeness. ]

Pinkie...

This is amazing.

[She blushes and runs the back of her neck.]

Haha, well, it's pretty rough. I tried making your own cutie mark, but cheese sandwiches look better in food than metal... Still need to practice.

[He moves to pull her into a hug, giving her a gentle squeeze. ]

Are you kidding? This is- wow, this is just about the best thing anypony has ever given me. Thank you.

[Awww... The praise gets a soft, warm, blushy smile out of her as she returns the hug.]

Aw, Cheesy... You're VERY welcome. Happy birthday, sweetie.

[He laughs softly at that smile. Gosh, he does love that smile. He nuzzles her gently. ]

Thank you. For the present...and the party. It's actually...just perfect.

[She laughs a little with the return nuzzle.]

[And since they're already so close, he's also gonna get a nice, soft birthday kiss.]

[He'll return that kiss happily. This...this is a good day, one of the best, really. ]

[It is, and she's glad to have give some more happiness back to him; he might not think so, but he really does deserve it, especially and even before all the things Paradisa and the Fleet have put him through.

And even putting those aside, it really is a celebration of him. She's happy he exists and she knows it, that he's a part of her life now and that he loves her. A small party is the least she could do in return.]

[And that right there is all he could wish for. Just her, being in his life, being there for him to love and be happy with. That's all he ever wants. ]

[Eventually, though she has to pull away to ease the protest of their lungs. (And to make sure they don't traumatize the guests TOO much~)]

Now come on, we've got a WHOLE lot of party for you to celebrate, I can't hog you ALL night!

[Or at least they can save the rest for after the party's over.]

[He laughs, a little sheepishly, glancing over at all his guests. His guests. That was still mind blowing, really. ]
